Disclaimer: I might sound repetitive so apologies in advance :)
I don't think any character is worthy of sympathy when everyone is acting foolishly
RK has always been riled up at the mere mention of Sultan's name when it comes to Madhu and Madhu knowing it keeps on doing the jaap.. She is tapping in his weakness and playing him (ofcourse in her opinion to save RK from physical harm)... But she does not apply even that much amount of brain and keep trying to expose Sultan... That day when Dipali helped Sultan escape from the mansion, Madhu could have aaram se atleast TRIED to expose Sultan with Bittuji and Radha in the house...
The CV's in their ignorance or arrogance or whatever reason, sort of failed Madhu as a character... She is accepting Sultan's demands in her opinion to save RK, fine but they should have shown her asking him how RK would be freed and how is she to believe no harm would befall RK after she leaves him... And then side-by-side they should have shown to the viewers Madhu's some rough agenda as to tackling Sultan once she has divorced RK.. Once she said "main tumhe chodungi nahi Sultan" and after that she went phus and succumbing into his blackmail whereas Sultan with every appearance made it more and more clear his intentions and madhu was just acceding without showing any of her self-thought vis-a-vis the destruction of Sultan...
After so much halla, they made her say yesterday "suhagan ka shraap"
CV's thought that all this is not going to happen so why bother about it now and in turn they degraded their own heroine... A little delicacy on their side wrt Madhu's character would have been appreciated
RK cannot be sympathised for the mere reason that he was unable to connect the dots and gave into his weakness... Yes he is hurt but one can rise beyond the hurt and see that 2 and 2 is not becoming 4... Yes, radha in a very different way was right.. If RK will be destroyed by letting Madhu go, to a certain extent, it is his own doing, coz he sent his brains on vacation... That day he gave quite a few valid reasons for him not believing Madhu's "I love Sultan" chant👍🏼... But he conveniently forgot that the previous night she asked him to hug tightly and the whole of that night she slept in his arms... Why did he not question her on that? and then hurt and anger took over when she desperately adamantly tried to save the divorce papers... Itni akal dikhayi to slap down all of her claims lekin sabse recent one bhool gaya (*head desk)
On a different note, I don't think RK truly ever believed that Madhu loves Sultan story but the constant hurt that she is giving him by her Sultan jaap and the fact that she is adamant about the divorce/leaving him is his bone of contention...
Yesterday also he said "mohabbat ka aaghaaz diya bhi toh baad mein chod ke jaane ke liye"...
