2013-1st yr without a salman movie since 1988

2013 will be remembered as the only year in Bollywood when no Salman Khan movie got released since 1988, when the superstar made his debut with 'Biwi Ho To Aisi'. It is a rare thing for Salman fans who are used to see their favorite actor every year in different avatars on the big screen.
Although Salman will be seen in a special appearance in 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' (releasing 20th Sept) and 'Ishkq in Paris', he will not have a major release this year. Apart from these two movies, Khan can be seen on the small screen as a presenter of his regular show 'Bigg Boss', which is going to air on Colors Channel from Sept 15, 2013.
Salman's first movie 'Biwi Ho To Aisi' featured him in a small role and went unnoticed at the ticket window. But his second release i.e. Sooraj Barjatya's 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' became an 'All Time Blockbuster' in 1989 and is also the biggest hit of 1980s decade. Since then Khan has starred in more than 80 Hindi films over the past 25 years.
Salman's last movie was Arbaaz Khan's 'Dabangg 2', which got released on the last week of 2012. His next release will be Sohail Khan's 'Mental'(tentative title) which is scheduled to hit the cinemas on January 24th, 2014. Apart from 'Mental', Salman will also be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick' in 2014.
