TOI: Lauren & I are best friends-Punit

The chemistry between choreographer/actor Punit Pathak and Lauren Gottlieb on dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa isnt just visible on screen but off it as well.It even caused Karan Johar to comment on it in one episode,saying that if Punit had a girlfriend,he wouldnt have her after that performance.Quite often,Lauren,too,has commented on how Punit is her great support and friend.When she initially came to Mumbai,she also lived with him.Both bond really well and one wonders if the chemistry is a result of a special friendship between the two.When contacted,Punit maintained,Last year,my colleague,Salman Yusuff (Khan) had Isha Sharvani and they showed great chemistry.Similarly,this year,I have Lauren who dances exceptionally well.I have known her for only two years (they worked together in ABCD) and for a relationship,one needs more time.The chemistry is because we are best friends for now.I dont know what the future holds for us,but the chemistry is sure helping us bond and look good on the show.

a P-unit interview after ages😳..happy to see that they are such good friends..though he is still raw when it comes to answering certain questions😆..although his answers are honest, the last few lines make it seem as if he is trying to hint at a future relationship between them..

I wouldn't mind if they end up together but I think they are just friends. Love their chemistry though!
