Manav Gohil was all set to act in Maverick Productions' Sach Hue Sapne Mere (to be launched on Doordarshan) where he was to be paired with Akangsha Rawat of Solhah Singarr. The two had even shot for the pilot. But all that was before Nach Baliye 2. Allegedly, Manav is out of the project because he hiked his price post the fame he achieved with Nach Baliye 2. A source in the production house says, "Manav had agreed on approximately Rs 20000 a day. But after participating in Nach Baliye 2, he doubled his quotation. The production house found it unreasonable and hence had no option but to re-consider Manav's presence in the show."

Imtiaz Punjabi, in charge of administrative and other decisions, says, "The show hasn't gone on floor yet. We have got the approval from the channel and the shoot should begin in a month's time. Decisions about casting are yet to be made. No actor has been decided or rejected."
When asked, Manav seemed to be unaware of this development. "I was to get a call from them, but I didn't," he says. On asking him if money was the reason, he says, "Perhaps money could be the reason! When I had told them about my quotation, they said they will get back to me and they didn't. So I believe money could be the reason." What about allegations about his doubling his price after Nach Baliye 2? "It's not true that I quoted a high price after Nach Baliye 2. What I really did was do the pilot for a little money and that they should re-consider my fees later," says Manav.
Meanwhile, even Akangsha Rawat opted out of the serial. "By the time, Sach… got approved from the channel I got the lead role in Solhah Singarr. And after I started shooting for Solhah…, Sach... got approved. But by then, it was too late to accept Sach..."
