CHAPTER-45.

Meera was forgetting what she was supposed to say..She was getting hypnotized by those mesmerizing eyes once again..She had wanted to tell him something,but now her mind was completely blank..Staring into those dark mysterious eyes was all she could do..She could not even blink,never mind look away..

Her hand lay,on his arms,clasping it tightly,as she looked up into his eyes..Then her eyes moved lower,to his finely chiseled lips,under his moustache..And she saw him opening them to inhale a long breath..

"Meera..?"Those lips whispered softly,and a dazed Meera,again dragged her eyes upwards to look into his eyes..His eyes were now glazing..They seemed to be burning with an unknown and unseen fire.Finally she inhaled a staggering breath,and a heady invigorating scent consumed her senses,as his perfume mixed with his exclusive male scent,drowned her senses..

"Meera?You were saying something..?"Prithvi whispered out in a husky voice again.

"I..I..Wanted to.."Meera tried to remember what she wanted to ask..Her eyes were still looking into his,and she could not think..He was not letting her break her gaze..

Suddenly Prithvi unclasped,her right hand,from his arm,and clasped it with his big,rough male one..His fingers now entwined with hers..And he moved closer to her..

Startled Meera stepped back,and Prithvi came closer again..All this while Prithvi did not for a second break his gaze from Meera's..And a hypnotized Meera looked on as Prithvi came closer to her..A warm heat had started to spread through her body,starting from her hand which were held in his..

"You..Wanted..To..?"Prithvi whispered in a husky voice again,coming closer to her,with every passing second.

"I..Wanted.."Meera whispered in a dazed voice..Liquid heat were passing through her body,and his musky scent was making her feel dizzy,as he came closer and closer to her..She could not even blink,or look away for an instant.

"Yes..?You..?Wanted..?"Prithvi murmured carrassing her cheek softly with his free hand,and gently he tucked some loose strands of hair behind her ears..

Meera felt she would faint with his closeness,and his fingers on her cheeks,and brushing against her ears,were making her feel hot all over..

"What-"Prithvi was interrupted in midsentence by his cell phone ringing..

"SHIT!"He cursed the caller,and letting go of Meera's hand,and breaking his gaze from hers ,he turned away taking out his phone,as he received the call..

Meera tried to compose herself,as Prithvi turned away to talk on the phone..Inhaling a breath,she tried to calm herself,and to cool herself,she walked to stand at the open window..The cool breeze filled with floral scent from the garden outside,calmed her body and mind..

What happens to me,when I'm near this guy?!She chided herself.He just has to come close and I forget everything!Thought Meera in amazement..

She looked down at the window frame and noticed the drops of blood on the window frame..

"You really scared me to death,do you know..?"Prithvi whispered close to her ear,and Meera jumped up startled,as he spoke from so close beside her..

Instantly she moved away from the window,putting a healthy distance between herself and Prithvi..She had not even noticed,when he had finished talking on the phone,and stood so close by her..

"Ummm..Why?"She asked,avoiding his eyes.

"The blood drops..They made me think.."Prithvi drifted off,staring at her face curiously,as she avoided looking at him.

"Oh!I had cut my finger,while cutting an apple.So.."Meera explained,and unconsciously bit into her bottom lip,as she tried to think of something else to say.

This time Prithvi looked away quickly,as he saw her biting her soft bottom lip..

"Why did you stop me then?What were you about to ask me?"Prithvi asked looking out the window,into the garden, now lit by lights at corners,as the dusk changed into night..

"Oh..I..I wanted to know why you came here?"Meera remembered suddenly.."And I thought you were..When you.."Meera drifted off into an embarrassed silence,as she suddenly realized what she was saying..Him tying her dori,was extremely embarrassing now that she dweled on it..

"I came to call you..If you are ready,then we should be starting for Baragaon.."Prithvi explained quickly,and turned back to face her..

"I'm waiting downstairs..You come down when you are ready,and please make it fast?We are already running late,as it is..We have to reach Baragaon before it's too late at night.."Prithvi said,and then left the room quickly,closing the door softly behind him..

Meera hurriedly took the comb from the dressing table,and began to comb her hair,lost in her thoughts..

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!!HE GOT CAUGHT?!!THAT SON OF A B***H!!!"Shouted the man into the phone.His voice dripping cold fury.

"FINISH HIM OFF!"He ordered and disconnected the line in anger.He was just about to throw the phone on the floor,when he stopped himself at the last moment..

Quietly he dialed a number and walked to the corner of the dimly lit room..

"I have a job for you..Listen carefully.."The man lowered his voice,and talked on the phone,as light fell on his hand from a nearby lantern.The right hand holding the phone had its little finger missing...

"Are we very far from Baragaon?"Meera asked for the sixth time in 1 hour..

"We are half the distance away.."Prithvi answered patiently for the sixth time.."Are you hungry?You could have the foods that we bought for the journey.."He said,sparing a look at her,as he drove the SUV down a deserted road,in between a jungle stretch..The night sky was dark,and thunderlights flashed the sky,giving warning of the upcoming storm...

"No..I just want to reach home quickly..Bitto will be worried-"Meera was stopped in mid sentence when the car suddenly jerked to a standstill.

"What happened?!"Meera asked worriedly.

"I don't know.."Prithvi muttered,as he tried to restart the car,but in vain..

Quickly he got down,and opened the bonnet,and with his mobile light,tried to check the problem,but could not find any problem..Closing the bonnet with a loud bang,he tried to restart the car..But the engine would not respond in anyway...

"What happened Prithvi?"Meera asked.

"I'm sorry Meera..We are stuck here for the night..Something is wrong with the car,and it won't start..."Prithvi said helplessly,turning to face a scared Meera,her eyes now round in shock...

Who said this ff was long? Uska pata toh dena humko!!!!! I never want this to end!!! Its blissfull Mithviland with romance, passion, desire and right amount of drama. I loved Meera's reaction to Prithvi's closeness. She must've looked gorgeous in that saree...too bad that idiot caller interrupted.
