"Chennai Express" has done its bit at box office by smashing all possible records last weekend and now its turn of Akshay Kumar to show his power at box office with sequel "Once Upon Ay Time In MumbaiDobaara".
Akshay starrer is facing few issues in terms of release and film is finding tough to get big release. But fact of the matter is that film will get close to 2000 screens on Friday, 16th August. But bone of contention between U TV and Balaji is 15th August and single screens.
Many single screens owners have made it clear that they will have "Chennai Express" in cinemas on 15th August and on Friday only they will switch to OUATIMD. This clearly states that OUATIMD will get full release on Friday only and that too will not be more than 2000-2200 screens.
As per insider information, U TV had sent mail today afternoon to all leading National chains and single screens to give minimum certain number of shows to "Chennai Express" agreed upon before release. As of now it has become a game of distribution and war among production houses rather than among stars.
Akshay's presence will ensure house full opening and no matter what film will fly high over the weekend but this screen war will hurt film in big way though if content is good then film can compensate that in longer run.
We hope that such an exciting film gets its due with fitting release and stamp authority at box office. After all Akshay is darling of masses and one should never under estimate the power of common man!
