It was finally the last day of classes; Virat was studying with Manvi all week for them. They finally finished and walked out excited that they completed their MBA. They got home when Virat got a phone call from the internship company from the school.

"Mr. Vadhera, we would like to offer you a paid internship, it starts tomorrow," The business man caught Virat completely off guard. "Um, Thank you for the offer, is there a way I could start next week, I have some family matters to solve," he said looking directly at Manvi. "No, I am sorry Mr. Vadehra, we need someone to start tomorrow, your academics gave you first choice, but if you can't start today we will have to offer it to someone else. " "That's ok, I will look for someplace else, thanks anyways," he said as he hung up. Manvi was just staring at him. "Virat you have to be kidding me, you worked so hard for the internship, why are you doing this," she said as she held his hand. Virat smiled and looked at her, "because you are more important to me, I want to be with you when we go back to tell everyone the truth, I don't want to leave you alone with Karan."

"Virat, why are you going all of this, why!" she started sobbing as her guilt took over her. She knew this was going to happen, she was running his life. His family had every right to be mad at her.

"Manvi, I want you to look at me, I will get another internship. I passed top of our class, did you forget? And Manvi you are my wife now, I have other responsibilities than my career, " he said caressing her stomach. "How is the baby doing?" he asked smiling. Manvi nodded silently and calmed down as he hugged her and they went for dinner and fell asleep soon scared of what was to come tomorrow.

Manvi's hands were trembling, literally shaking up and down in fear. Virat glanced at her as he was driving and held her hand still. It was symbolic. She understood what he was trying to tell her. No matter how scared she was he wasn't going to let her fall, he would keep her strong, he would protect her. Jeevika and Viren took everyone's blessings as they walked in. Virman were next. Swamini bua had held an aarti thali and put it down as soon as she saw Manvi. "Kadambhari, I let Viren back because he just wanted to help his brother, I am not letting this wh*** and her so called husband into this house she said coldly as she set the thali down and walked away. Manvi's eyes filled up as Virat clutched her hand tighter. Jeevika stared at Buaji as she walked away and looked back at her sister. She was confused at what to do, a part of her wanted to side with her sister, but she knew that as a bhau she still had a responsibility to respect the elders of the family, she was in a dilemma now. Kadambari Chachi smiled at Jeevika and picked up the thali and did Manvi's aarti. "Manvi beta, I know the way you were married was not right at all, but welcome to our family, I am more than happy to have you as a bahu," she said as she wiped Manvi's tears and kissed her forehead. Virat and Viren were also both orphans, both their parents had died when they were very young. They were lucky though that they had a large family that loved them a lot. Swamini bua was very attached to Viren but always had a strong dislike for Virat's, no one except Chachi really understood why. Chachi on the other hand was very close to him and loved him like her own son. She wasn't able to have kids as she was infertile and couldn't be more grateful for Virat. Virat and Manvi were about to bend down when Chachi took them in for a hug. She led both of them to Virat's room and left them there. Virat went to take a shower and Manvi decided to get changed. She took off her saree when she felt two cold hands around her waist. This wasn't Virat touch. The thoughts that had haunted her for the past two months came back now, it was happening all over again. Manvi closed her eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Whats wrong, did you forget me," he asked as he turned her around throwing her violently on the bed. She got up and he chuckled. "Where are you going, we have some unfinished business he said as he bit the skin on her neck." He felt a hand at his shoulder and smiled. "So you are finally giving in", he said pulling her closer, he was abruptly turned around by the hand on his shoulder and slapped to the ground. "Manvi go to the bathroom and put your clothes on he said as he gently helped her up. And you, WE ARE MARRIED, SHE HAS A HUSBAND, PLEASE GET THAT THORUGH YOUR BRAIN! Please leave before I call Bua he said pushing him out the door and closed it. Virat saw that the lock had been purposefully broken so that he could slip in. He was fuming with anger now. It had been an hour and Manvi was still in the bathroom. He opened the door to see her in the tub, her saree was completely wet, the shower was on and she was just cyring. He felt so bad for her, she didn't deserve this. He turned the shower off and handed her a new saree and asked her to change. She came out this time but eyes were still swollen from crying. "Manvi, I am so sorry, I should have checked to see the lock," he was abruptly stopped by Manvi, she literally threw herself into his arms. "Thank you Virat, you stopped him, thank you!" she just kept whispering. She fell asleep in his arms. He placed her on his bed and looked down at her. She looked so angelic, so perfect, how could Karan even think of doing something like that to her. His thoughts were interrupted by Jeevika. "Virat, I heard Manvi crying earlier, is everything alright?" she asked worried. Virat closed his eyes in shame at what had happened. "Bhabhi he tried to rape her again, it took all the strength I had not to murder him on the spot, I want him in jail." He finally confessed. Jeevika just stared at him. She had enough. Her sister had enough. She didn't deserve this at all, after all she had just came to visit last time and she was left with the biggest burden any girl could get, a rape child. Her blood was boiling now. She turned around and walked to Karan's room. He was on his computer desk. She abruptly turned him around and slapped him, she slapped him for her everything that he had done to her sister. "KARAN, HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER! DO YOU NOT THINK THAT SHE HAD BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH! SHE IS ARLEADY PRENGANT WITH YOUR CHILD, IS THAT NOT ENOUGH PAIN THAT YOU GAVE HER THAT YOU NEEDED TO RAPE HER AGAIN!," by this time the entire Vadhera family was just watching Jeevika yell, shocked at the new revelation. Manvi was woken up by all the yelling, she felt so bad for running the happy family.

"Virat, I will never be able to thank you enough for what you did for me. I have heard that when someone makes a mistake and repents, god gives them the strength to bear the punishment. But you were willing to go through your entire life with a punishment for a mistake that you never even made. I can't express in words how much everything that you did for me meant. I cannot thank god more for giving me you as a friend, as a husband, and as the strongest support that I had after Di. You deserve a better life Virat. You have a heart of gold, and it belongs to someone who can give you a lifetime of happiness, not a lifetime of bearing punishment after punishment. I am leaving Virat, and I promise I will never come back into your life again. I cannot give you much in return for what you did, but I will promise you that every prayer of mine will be for you, for your success, for your happiness. Take care, and please stay happy, if not for anyone else for me. Know that I left but a part of me will still be with you, watching to make sure you are happy, and I promise you if you are happy I will be too. "

"Di, Jijju, I am so sorry for every single burden that I have placed on you. If possible please forgive me. Di, I remember growing up we always used to be sad that we had no mother. We always use to say if Ma was here she would do this, she would do that. Today I found my Ma di, she had never left me, she was right by me this entire time, every time I look at you, I see her. Di, you have given me more love than any mother would give, and anything that I say will be less for what you have given me. Everyone says that an older sister is no less than a mother, but Di you have proved to me that an older sister is more than a mother, she can be best friend for life, an unending source of support, a symbol of selfless, unconditional love, all of it Di. You gave me all of that and I had nothing to give back to you. Di, I can't let you ruin your life for my happiness. I have left Di, but my soul will always be with you. Please don't worry about me, the happiness and love that you gave me till now is enough to last even after my death. Jijju, I have nothing to say for all the love you gave me. I am sorry I ruined your family, but I promise I will never come back to it. I love you Di and Jijju."

Manvi practically killed herself writing the two notes. Hearing Virat stand up for her made her realize that he may be falling in love with her, but more importantly that she shared the same emotions. She didn't want to leave him, she was falling for him, his care and concern for her, his way of making her laugh, the support he gave her, the compliments he gave, she was falling more in love with him every day and it had to stop. Leaving her Di, her mother, this was the hardest decision she made, but she had to. Seeing Jeevika yell at Karan opned her eyes to how far her sister was willing to go for her, she cuolnd't let her go any further though, she couldn't ruin her di's sasural. With that small note, she left, she left to keep those that gave her so much love happy, to give them the happiness that they deserved for all the love that they gave a girl who would now be down casted in society as a unmarried pregnant mother. She left, taking Jeevika's darkan away from her. She left Virat, unknowingly taking his heart with her. She left all of them with a forced smile on face knowing that they would be happy now, she wouldn't burden them anymore.
