Today was a get together going on but a girl was sad not because she will not meet her friends but she will not meet him the love of her life who was once her enemy.. She didn't knew when he became the life of her.. She was a middle class girl.. Her parents were school teachers both were working to give their children bright future.. She was the youngest child of her parents.. She shared friendly relation with everyone.. She was loved by everyone in her relations or community or her school or wherever she went.. She never believed in love.. She was dutiful n a doting daughter, a true friend, beautiful person in appearance as well as inside.. She was in grade 6.. They were having their classes when he entered with his 3 friend group.. He had attitude to kill.. A glance on him n she knew he is arrogant so she didn't pay any heed to him but his friend who introduced himself as prem was quiet friendly n somber in nature to others.. Four of them were pole apart.. Vinod Gupta was little introvert n spoke less, Yuvaraj devan was a little rowdy types, Prem Handa was shy n extrovert sweet n friendly n whereas he was the leader of their group, "the Arjun Suryakant Raute".. He controlled them.. They entered the class n took their seat which was next to her.. He gave intro to all but he was not so friendly to most of them.. So she was rude to him.. She gave her intro in not interested manner n shook hand with him n felt shiver for first time in her life but shrugged it off thinking maybe illusion.. When she looked at his eyes she knew he also felt so.. She released her hand went off to take her seat.. She never glanced back at him but felt being watched.. But didn't bothered to look up as she knew the pair of eyes.. He befriended sandhya her friend but never dared to approach her.. She used to come school earlier than time n keep her bag on her desk n go out on playground to play before assembly.. Next day also she came earlier n he also came with prem with their bags n were chatting when they saw her they exchanged gms.. They went out but different direction.. She became closer to prem n between her n arjun only gm were exchanged.. 2 years passed but nothing much were spoken between them.. 8th grade was also passed but they talked less.. During the pre-board exam they use to take tuition classes their teachers were different.. They had formed a hate relation among themselves due to their ego.. They passed with great marks with distinction.. In class ninth both were selected as class captain n had to work together.. They came to know more about each other.. They grew closer.. The hate relation changed into liking.. His friend yuvaraj always criticized her but she never minded as the thing mattered to her was his friendship..
He used to give her chits to pass it over to sandhya,, She knew they were not more than friends of each other but seeing their closeness all used to take them as couple.. She knew it but chose to ignore.. One day he was not present for class later he came in the evening just to give treat to his friends as it was his birthday.. She was a good singer.. Her friend requested her to sing a song.. She sang: Agar tum mil jao jamana chod denge hum but she didn't dedicated to anyone.. Her friends used to tease her taking his name.. But since that day she used to ignore to be alone with him or avoided much convo with him or convo only about works.. One day they had a big fight due to misunderstanding.. But she realized that they fought for silly thing.. it was sunday next day.. She was restless whole day.. She was not herself with her friends.. She was thinking many ways to apologize.. Finally her wait was over,.. The day to face him came.. As usual she went earlier.. She kept her bag n waited for him to come when he came he was with prem n he was about to go avoiding her but she called him back n requested to talk alone with her.. Prem understood the situation n went away n She said, "I know arjun I have been behaving like idiot since long time n yesterday I went overboard n argued with u without any reason m really really sorry.. will never do it again..' n touched her ears with her fingers n again said sorry n he said it's ok n not to repeat it again n both smiled n hand shaked each other..(I know most of u want to have hug, Here both r just best friend ok..).. Both again came together,, They were laughing n talking when others came n find them like this.. Prem smiled as he knew his friend was restless since she started to ignore him n yesterdays argument.. But seeing him happy he knew it is sorted.. The days were passing.. There was a threaten to all government that they had to admit their children to a government school from maowadis or they will loose their jobs.. She went to her father school for a day.. She felt odd amongst them but she knew few of them as they were her friends from neighborhood.. They had half day.. She missed her friends n specially him.. She couldn't gel up well in that environment so decided to join back her school.. She went to her school day after tomorrow as she had holiday the next day.. That day she reached when all were present.. She was going to her class after prayer when her senior asked that how was her day in the school as she had heard that she went to a government school for a day.. She answered her n entered her class when she was bombarded with question where she went? why? how? she answered patiently n went to her seat.. When she felt a paper thrown at her n it read, 'why didn't u inform me about it.. How can u do it? U know I missed u.. U'r my best friend after prem.. How can u do this.." she replied him n manofied him.. They were responsible for farewell party for the board examers.. They did it systematically n were praised by princi.. They went for rally to same school.. She brought her friend with her as she went to meet her.. She introduced her to all as Rekha her neighborhood n her father's student n best friend as well.. When she introduced arjun to her she teased her n she shied n hid behind her.. As all her friends knew about her liking towards arjun.. She had a childhood bff Suraj who liked her n he studied in different school than hers.. She was teased by two names suraj in school n arjun in home by friends.. The day went well for them.. Days passed by n arjun had grown over protective of her.. if she cried the whole class used to do anything for her to make her smile.. She was life of her friends.. they passed 9th grade too.. Grade ten also was going well they were burdened by studies n they got less time to interact with each other but they had come more closer with time.. They gave their pre-board exam all passed the exam n after two days there was saraswati puja but the 9th graders were too lazy to do the arrangements so they were loaded with the duty.. They arranged it n went home after 5 pm.. The next day all gathered early in the morning.. She wore red chudidaar with black embroidery n black shawl to match with it n black earing with read stones.. She was looking ethereal n she went to puja with her friend Priety.. The time she entered the hall she knew most eyes were on her but his eyes were never her.. He had wore blue shirt n black denim jeans.. All the time she felt his eyes wherever she went... They exchanged pleasantries.. The day went by.. From next day they had no regular classes.. They only came to take coaching classes.. talked with each other or discuss about lessons n spend time with each other after classes.. They gave their final exam n were waiting for results.. They were invited for the farewell.. All gathered in school uniform n they signed in everyones shirt as the remembrance of each other.. when they came face to face they signed in their shirt without looking at each other n were about to talk when sandhya came n took arjun from there.. They put gulal on each other faces.. They posed for photos in funny ways.. They enjoyed the function n were gifted beautiful photo frames n flower.. at the end of function, she was about to approach arjun for talking but sandhya dragged him to dance floor for dance.. The event was smoothly going but she got a call from home n she informed preity of her going n apologized to teachers of her early exit.. she left hurriedly.. she got to know that her parents died in an accident n she had only her brother saved.. She didn't contact anyone from then.. She collected her result n she got distinction.. Her brother got job in delhi they shifted from Shimla.. she got scholarship n she did well in studies n she helped her dada in setting up his business in partnership.. She kept low profile n only was seen in presentation.. She kept contact with others but not with arjun.. She had come across many men but she never paid any heed to them.. Arjun had also joined his father business.. They were client of her.. Arjun had heard the praise of her but never knew the name of person..
After 10 years they had reunion of their batch n they were gathered in the hall.. She had wore light red saree with little embroidery n small diamond stud n a pendent of heart shape n a thin line bracelet with minimum makeup.. She was looking divine.. All were present there n she saw him looking ever so handsome.. Nothing changed his appearance.. His features only got sharpened.. He was with his group.. She greeted them n had a hearty chat with prem.. He had been a truly friend.. He introduced his wife seema n shared their school days with her as well.. She was talking with them n stealing glance of Arjun as well.. She saw a girl approaching him for dance n she knew that girl was none other than sandhya.. She knew that the feeling she had towards arjun was love.. She felt jealous of sandhya now as she has grown more beautiful n had seen love in her eyes for arjun since long time but chose to ignore.. Arjun agreed but his eyes were only on her.. In the middle of the dance, sandhya proposed him.. He was stunned for a moment n excused himself.. She witnessed this.. She was about to go from there when she heard a song being sung n that was: agar tum mil jao.. N the singer was arjun.. She turned towards the stage.. Arjun said, 'Yeh gana mere dil k bahut kareeb hai kyunki us din mujhe tumhare dil ki baat pata chala... u know I loved u from day one.. U were different from other girls.. u didn't gave me another look.. I wanted to speak to u but u ignored me.. I also never approached u.. I waisted 2 years to make a convo with u.. but sir made us captain so I got the chance to know u closely.. The more I got to know u, the more I fell for u.. The chit was only a excuse to get u near me.. I always spend time with u whenever I got.. The day u didn't come to school I missed u like hell.. I can never imagine my life with u.. The day u ignored me n fought with me I cried n thought what mistake I did to get that treatment but the following day u apologized made me happy.. On the saraswati puja u were looking beautiful. I so wanted to confess my love but restricted myself as our final were coming.. I spend most of the time with u even after that day instead of my friends.. On farewell day also I was about to confess but sandhya dragged me.. When I didn't find u I asked about u to others they said u went home already.. I got to know about ur parents.. The result day also u went earlier n I got to know about ur migration but couldn't get.. years passed but my love remain same for u.. I don't know why I knew u will come today.. I love u riya Mukherjee.. Will u marry me??' Riya had tears since he sang the song n The revelation stunned her more.. The confession brought her back n saw him infront of her on knees with a solitaire diamond ring n she make him stand n said, 'I love u too ... N for u question it is big yes ' n hugged him.. He reciprocated the hug n sandhya went away stomping her foot.. The hall was filled by huge sound of claps.. "we will be together forever" they promised themselves..
