How did television happen to you? Basically, I am from Gujarat and I have done a couple of Gujarati serials there. Also I have done a Telugu, Bhojpuri and Rajasthani movie. After completing my twelfth standard, I shifted to Mumbai. So I fine day I got a call from Neela Telefilms and I was called with my photographs for the audition. And after the audition, I was selected and was offered the lead role in Saarthi that is aired on Star TV. Apart from acting, what else have you done? I used to do dance choreography. I started dancing at the age of three. I have done Kathak for five years and I have done anchoring for a lot of live shows. Tell us something about your character in Saarthi... Well, I play the character of Devi Parekh who is very childish, bubbly and naughty sort of girl. She also does a lot of chitchatting and is loved by her parents very much. However, due to some twist and turns in the story, I play a character of a mature and sophisticated girl. How do you relate yourself with the character? I am similar to the character of Devi in Saarthi. I am extremely talkative. Just like a butterfly, I cannot sit ideal at one place and like to hop around. As you are just 19, how is the feeling to play the role of a mother of five-year-old son? It is a very challenging job. And sometimes it becomes very difficult. However, I like to accept challenges. I have even played a 60-year-old in a social album. What are our future plans? Like every actress, I too dream to be the part Bollywood. I would do love to do movies if I get a good role from a good banner. I would also like to do Ads and music videos, provided it interests me. |
