I'm a little confused...😕😆

Up till today's epi (yesterday for most of you) I always assumed that Rano will end up being the Bahu of that family and hence the heavily guarded family secret and how it linked to Bani would have been how her hubby did not come back for her and them being worried that Parmeet might follow suit but...

How is it possible?

It was 20 years ago?

Rano everyday dresses up in her bridal attire so that she is "ready" for when her hubby comes to get her.

How is it possible if she is the eldest DIL of that family if she was only married 20 years earlier? Aren't Randeep and Parmeet much older than that? If she is the eldest Bahu then wouldn't that mean that Manpreet was married after her? If Rano's husband was Parmeet's elder uncle than shouldn't she have been married along time ago? Why does she still dress up like a new bride waiting for her husband to come and get her? Was he gone for a long time before the family realised he wasn't coming back for her? Or perhaps he was much older and only got married to her much later in life which might explain why Manpreet being the middle DIL would have older children?

So confused...What are your thoughts? Please do share your opinions😊

yeah that doesnt make sense ... I guess the oldest brother got married last or after Parmeet's dad 😳 ... it's weird but still possible, I'm Punjabi and my dad's younger brother got married before my dad and has children who are like 10 years older than me... clearly my dad got married much later than his younger brother 😆 ... For guys it doesn't matter but for girls, not just in Punjabi culture but Indian culture in general is usually more stricter about older sisters having to get married before the younger sisters do (times and traditions are changing now of course)

In some beginning episode, when Bani n Rano were talking Rano, did mention the yr of her marriage n it was most probably 20 yrs back ( but I am not very sure, that episode was aired way back), so I think thru some weird logic they may make Rano the elder DIL other wise Manpreet cud have shown Bani, Darjee's elder son n his brides photo. Both Bani n Sohum will be shocked, thats for sure

Yeah I agree. I've seen it myself lots of times. Especially those that come over here from India and want to stay beyond there visa time and claim refugee status. It can take years for them to become permanent residences if they become that at all and then after they get their perm. residency they go back home to get married. Anyway, I hope writers clear this up for us. I hate the confusion😕😆

@bold: but then again where is there logic on telly series? Writers usually just expect us to swallow whatever they give us logic or not😆 Still thoroughly hate being confused though😕😃
