As for abhay's death it was more about the Karma angle and a punishment for zoya.

@bold - i agree wid u.. damn .. i agree wid u so much.. yes it was her ultimate punishment for breaking a person's heart knowingly.. i only felt bad becos his life was stuck in her since childhood, nd it was very mean to use his love for succeeding her own..

nd again i agree wid ur whole post... Kundan in his wait for her, he longed for her, his love became a worship and zoya very well realised it aftr she came back.. nd she chose to take it as a topic of joke nd her self entertainment..

She was like the complete opposite of Kundan, would promote someone else to sacrifice themselves

for my own satisfaction i really want to believe dat when she went to see him in his death bed, she did feel sad, she did feel guilty..

in d end she behaved damn heartless, esp when she tried to pretend that she loves him.. he very well knew dat she was trying for smthing...

The one good message it throws out is ( if you can interpret it this way) that when a girl just isnt into you, if she doesnt like you, sometimes no matter WHAT you do, it wont change her mind.

Stalking her, hounding her, being persistent, slitting your wrist, committing suicide, NOTHING will make her magically fall in love with you. She might feel guilty for the time being, but then she'll move on and forget (as Zoya also did)

If she doesnt connect on a deeper level, she never will. Sometimes it just doesnt work out.

She cited the reason that they were from different faiths...but clearly, love is more complicated. Coz Abhay was also not Muslim, but she fell in love with him coz something connected and they both had similar mindsets.

In a way, I think the movie does give that message out.
