I had not seen this promo that everyone is mentioning... but it answers all my questions. Yet again, the wish list was a brilliant track by CVS.
First the promo means that ,rather obviously that Zoya would have told about Tanu's blackmailing to Asad.( So, ONE BIG ITEM FOR ME, CHECK!!! Asad and Zoya do talk about issues, and did not shove it another the carpet. Asad knows all of Tanu's doings, atleast all that Zoya knows - so no question of MUs).
Now either Asad asks Tanu about Zoya's dad (he is willing to do anything for her at this point) or some other plan but he is the one who will find him.
This makes sense with the whole wishlist track - they brought it in to build this case - Asad CAN and GO to any extent (including out of character things like Salman dance) to fulfill the wishlist of a (in her own words) stupid 16 year old. Zoya knows those wishes were stupid. She had not even expected them fulfilled - they are all crazy, OTT wishes that really do not mean much in a relationship from a mature POV. But ASAD did it, to make Zoya happy. He has also said that he loves doing the impossible/taking up challenges. This is still not a list Zoya has asked from him (remember he was insisting her to give one beginning of last week) this one just landed in his hand, and is from her childhood. So I am sure when Zoya ultimately asks about her Abu, Asad will do something for her. What? We find out in a weeks time.
They totally justified Asad's going out of character that day and also there's a logical reason for the whole wishlist drama, which is the truth of her Abu. I am also happy that as I badly wanted, they showed that atleast now Asad and Zoya talk about issues - so there is a trust factor building between them.

Now if they can only teach an OCD like me, how an OCD like Asad can change so much overnight that he can really make that mess in the kitchen... 😉
