Excerpt
"I did see herâŚ.It isâŚI'm not lying andâŚ."
"Stop it!" there came a roar that was enough to silence the incoherent mourns.
"Just please stop! Stop making a scene. There's no one like that here. All that you think you saw is just your imagination and nothing else! People have started talkingâŚ.they tell me my bride's mad, now tell me are you mad?"
She couldn't believe his words. Her husband she thought was the biggest support she thought she had but it wasn't like that. Tears welled in her dark eyes. The ambers were ready to die.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean toâŚ.ZoyaâŚ.please look at me...just once", he tried reasoning. He wiped her tears and pulled her in his strong embrace, one that always melted her fears and yes her anger too. He held her close to his heart and kissed her forehead. He could sense her tiredness and so he led her to that soft bed and lay her down. He pulled up the duvet and she snuggled in peacefully. Just when he was about to leave she held his hand.
"You do believe meâŚâŚright?"
"Zoya...I love you andâŚ"
"No that wasn't my questionâŚ.do you believe me?"
"IâŚ."
