Everyone says he should have stood up to UB, he has two kids now and blah blah blah. It's easy to judge people and say they should stand up for themselves especially that Manav did it too.

Manav is the youngest and most pampered one. Whereas Mukut had to set an example for his brothers and had to follow the rules. Coming from a strict family i totally know what's it like. And he never said that he didn't care about the kids. He just doesn't want to be with his wife.

Even is he stays with her he will never ever be happy. It'll be like a prison to him. So might as well set him free.

And why should the wife even forgive a cheating husband? He never cared for her. He probably tried to love her in the beginning but realized that she's just too conservative and not what he expected from a life partner.

When people are unhappy in a marriage they don't know how to break free from it. Especially with his very conservative family. So the only thing he could do to from going insane was befriend another woman.

Now if everyone finds out at least he can say he found a better partner. Otherwise everyone would have just forced him to make it work. Now he doesn't have to. He has something else to look forward to.

Does all this justify the cheating? No it doesn't. But most people are cowards and are not able to face the truth and communicate with their partner. Everyone waits for another person to come along before they end their previous relationship because that way they know their current wife/ husband will not accept this.

If Mukut wants his wife to spend time with him and make merry with him, then he would do better to pamper her (instead of a mistress!)
And he should hire a servant to do all that she does in the house.
UB, notwithstanding, of course, typically, he has conveniently forgotten, that if his wife does what he wants her to do then:
  • his food - whatever his fancy is at the moment - will never appear by magic when he wants
  • his clothes will never be cleaned and pressed and ready for him to just step into
  • he will always forget to pick up is wallet, or keys or hanky or files or... that is if he can find them!!
  • his house will never be clean
  • have never seen him interact with his kids so this point best be left alone
  • his room will never be spick and span
  • he will never have a doormat
  • he will never have someone to bark at
I almost want him to leave her so that he realizes her worth when the mistress refuses to tow the line as he is doing with his wife!!

Gomuti bhabhi is in this mess just as much as he is. Probably, she didn't want to get married to him. (And even if she did, she also must have had her dreams. That were snatched away from her.) But she has accepted her fate and is making the best of it as she can. Her life and happiness are also as important as his. Why should he be the only one to enjoy his life? What about her? Her dedication to his house and home, his family, is to be commended. and just because he gets everything from her at a snap of his fingers, he has forgotten to be grateful to her!
