The day passed by with nothing unusual taking place. Shanaya had not thrown any tantrums as she was expected to, but she had stuck to Arnav more than required. She would follow him everywhere he went. Khushi was surprised that she had not insisted to follow him to the washroom as well. Khushi was getting highly irritated by her presence but did not say anything as she was playing an important part in the fashion show.
Lavanya was very happy for her happiness. She knew that Khushi would never find anyone as good as Arnav. At the same time she had also noticed the showstopper, Shanaya. She had seen the continuous dirty looks she was giving Khushi and it had taken all her strength to not go and slap her. No one could even look at her happiness like that and get away. She had even gone to Arnav to talk to him about the same and remembered the conversation she had with him.
Lavanya had barged into Arnav's cabin like it was her own home.
"ASR, I need to talk to you about something." She said in a very angry tone.
"La, this isn't your house that you can just barge in, this is my cabin. Even though we are friends theres something called professionalism." Said an amused cum irritated Arnav.
"Its about Khushi." Lavanya said so he would stop his nonsensical professionalism knowledge. She wanted his undivided attention and mentioning Khushi had done the job. He looked up at her with a questioning look.
"What about her?" he asked.
"Whats happening between Khushi and Shanaya. I mean I have been noticing how that show stopper of yours has been glaring at MY Khushi and I am not'" she started only to be interrupted by Arnav.
"What the? What do you mean by 'MY Khushi'? Shes not yours alright. Shes mine." He said in all authority while La could only glare at him.
"Cut the crap, ASR. Will you just shut up for some time and listen to me."
"Don't forget I am your boss La."
"Oh please. We both know who takes the lead in this friendship." She said with a smirk and folded her hands on her chest.
Arnav glared at her for a minute but when he saw no signs of her giving in, he sighed and looked at her.
"Fine, what do you want?"
"So as I was saying, I saw your showstopper glaring at Happiness and I would only take 10 seconds to do something no one would like. So spill it out, tell me whats happening." She said, her anger suddenly returning.
Arnav had asked her to sit down and told her everything that he had told Khushi earlier that day. Lavanya on the other hand was loosing her temper. She wanted to snap back at Arnav and tell him that he did not even have the guts to tell everyone the truth about his and Shanaya's relationship but at the same time she also knew that he had never cared about anything except his work. He had always been the workaholic who didn't care about anything.
Once Arnav was done telling her everything, she had turned around and left his cabin, not uttering a word.
Now sitting in her cabin all she could think of, were ways to make sure that Shanaya kept out of Arnav and Khushi's way. They were in a new relationship which was still unstable and even though it was said that when two people would face problems and would overcome them, their relationship would become stronger but she also knew that a problem like Shanaya just wasn't one that would be very nice. She had to keep a watch on Shanaya, she thought when she heard her cabin door opening and Khushi coming in.
She sat on the chair opposite to La's.
"La, lets go home. I am really tired. These models are so moody, just like some hormonal pregnant lady. I really should have tried to find myself a job where I could be the designer, atleast I wouldn't have to deal with these psychopaths." Said Khushi as she remembered the kind of torture she was subjected to today. Those models were so choosey. All they could think of was how long their dresses were. "Oh my god, this is so long. I look like a behenji in this. Get this shortened." "Khushi, who the hell has designed these dresses. They are horrible." "If I have to wear this then I am leaving." God! Who cares what they like. Khushi had been so close to picking something and throwing it at them. They were bloody models and they had to do their job of wearing the goddamn piece of cloth and walk on the ramp, but no! how could they do such a simple thing without cribbing.
Khushi hadn't noticed when her hands had fisted in anger. She wasn't a person who would easily get miffed by little things, but some people could really get on every nerve she had in her body.
She jerked out of her thoughts when she heard the sudden opening of the door and saw Arnav walking in, still looking the same handsome self only with a day old stubble. How in this world did he manage to remain so calm even after a whole day of disaster. She wondered when she heard him,
"Sweetheart, have those models troubled you a lot?" he came to her and gave a small kiss on her forehead before settling himself next to her on the other chair.
He turned around to look at her. He knew that the models could really be a handful. They would be very clingy and sweet around him but behind his back they were nothing less than devils.
"Khush, are you doing okay?" he asked when he received no response from her. She had her head on the table as she had felt a headache brewing up. When she heard Arnav address her again, she looked up and noticed the concerned look his face held.
She slowly sat straight and rolled her chair towards him and kept her head on his arm. He immediately moved his arm and kept it on her waist, pulling her close while she closed her eyes. She could not deny, she loved spending time with him and sitting with him while he took her in his arms, it made her feel warm and protected.
She sat there comfortably while he moved his hand on her back, soothing her and simultaneously talking to La. This felt so natural, like it was the easiest thing to do. At the same time it also felt picture perfect.
Never had she thought that she would become so comfortable with their relationship in only one day. She came out of her thoughts when she heard La calling out for her. She blinked her eyes and looked at her.
"Happiness, I think we should leave now. You look exhausted."
Khushi looked up at Arnav, she didn't want to leave just yet. She was so comfortable right now but she knew had to go. Reluctantly she moved away from him and stood up. She felt so heavy at that moment. All the tiredness was taking a toll on her and at that moment all she wanted was a bed and a blanket to cuddle into. That thought itself made her feel like she could sleep any moment.
She looked at Arnav and gave a slight smile, that was the best she could do at that moment. She hadn't noticed when Lavanya had left the room.
"Bye Arnav, goodnight." She said when he pulled her close.
"Baby, don't stress yourself. Look at you, you look like you haven't slept in ages. Get some sleep once you reach home."
"Oh that's all I want to do Arnav, get into bed and fall asleep for a good 10 hours, that's how long I am going to take to get over this terrible day. I have known my low tolerance for parties, they make me sleep for a good 12 hours before I can even start a new day, but today I even got to know about my low tolerance for such psychopaths." She said in a very deep slumber filled voice.
"Alright, lets get you to La's car." He said supporting her while she put her full weight on him.
He gently put her in La's car and slightly pecked her lips and said, "Goodnight Love." Before closing the door.

On the other side, Shanaya was sitting in her house, remembering the conversation she had witnessed that morning. She could not believe Arnav would choose a girl like Khushi to date. She did not even match his standards.
Her blood boiled thinking of how Arnav was holding her and kissing her, reassuring her of his love. She wanted Arnav and there was no way anyone could stop her from getting what she wanted.
She finally came to a decision, she had to plant seeds of doubt in Khushi's head before she took any huge step.

Khushi and Lavanya had just reached Khushi's house. They were sitting in the car where an over-excited Lavanya was trying to wake a half asleep Khushi.
Lavanya was very excited to meet her Payal di after so long and so she was vigorously shaking Khushi so she would wake up and help her surprise Payal.
"Come on Happiness wake up."
"La, if you had to go through the torture I went through, you would understand my pain."
"Stop over-acting. Its just 5 minutes. I promise once we give her the surprise you can sleep all you want." Said La but received no response so she tried her last prank. "Khushi, if you don't wake up right now I am going to bathe you right here." She warned and smiled when Khushi immediately opened her eyes wide.
"Okay fine. Lets go." she grumbled.
Khushi walked to the door while La hid herself nearby. She knocked the door and Payal opened it.
"Khushi your so late." She said.
"Jiji, I have a surprise for you." Said Khushi, trying to act excited while all she could remember was that she was so close to her bed yet deprived of it.
"And whats that?" asked a suddenly curious Payal.
"ME!!!!" came the quick reply as Lavanya jumped out of nowhere.
Payal stood there, shocked to see the person in front of her. She had lost all hopes to see her younger sister. Yes, La was nothing less than a younger sister to her, just like Khushi.
Her lips broke into a smile and she pulled La to her, hugging her tightly.
"La, its so good to see you again. Where have you been all this while?"
"Di its not important where I was, whats important is that I am here now." She said and broke the hug.
They hadn't noticed when Khushi had walked into her room and thrown herself on her bed and already fallen asleep.
"Okay now are you even going to let me inside or should I go back home?" she asked playfully.
"Where do you think you are going. Come in."
The two of them went in and sat down, catching up on everything that had happened in the past years. Lavanya told her everything about her parents death and had cried her heart out while Payal held her. Payal on the other hand told her about her relationship with Aakash and La was extremely happy for her.
"So where are you staying?" asked Payal.
"Oh I am staying at a guest house till I don't get a house for myself."
"Are you crazy? You are not staying in any guest house. You are staying here with us. Mom and Dad would kill us if they got to know that you are here and are staying in some stupid guest house."
"Oh come on di, I don't want to be a burden to the two of you." She said and immediately regretted it when she saw a hurt expression on Payal's face.
"Fine if that's what you want. Go. Don't be a burden on us." Said Payal, sarcastically.
"I am sorry di. Okay fine I will stay with you. Now don't be angry please." La said, holding her ears.
So it was finally decided that Lavanya would shift her things the very next day to live with the Gupta sisters.
