I think God is everywhere so if you tell a lie God is watching you even if the God's foto or idol is not therE :) So telling a lie is not good, but if it is for the good of someone then it's ok

I haven't seen the episode...just read about it here.
Lie is Lie...God is everywhere, but God is also forgiving and merciful.
CC lied in front of the family but she did tell the truth to UB.
She did it for the greater good, so it holds merit...God will forgive.
I have a question...how did you feel when UB was talking about intentionally breaking her son's marriage in the temple? Isn't marriage sacred in the eyes of God?

the mandir was near staircase, the occasion and everything was related to god. ya technically god is everywhere and he was watching... but again its a family show and showing a bahu lying in front of god is a bit weird... anyways... i felt it could have dealt in some other place... but directly in front of god... well... i dont know how many people would actually do it in real. 😊

Even if we go by placement in the scene, I went back and checked the Mandir was behind UB and Chhanchhan was facing UB, so she was further away from Mandir. But in the house decor there are God pictures on most walls...like many households in India, so the scene has to occur somewhere.

Umm, technically, God would see her lying even if she told it to them in a park, because He sees us everywhere. Lying is lying, whether you 're in a place of worship or not.

ditto! the only thing that would actually make it worse is taking the name of god and lying!
well my mom has whacked me for holding my breath and going 'god promise' over something that wasn't true when I was quite young..🤔

anyway i guess the greater good is allowed in front of gods too.. specially a lie which would if ever, will hurt only herself, and if not lied would hurt everyone else..😳

this one did leave an impact on me! specially cz she stopped back to turn and offer her prayers by joining her hands after doing something so unholy in the mandir itself!! 😲
that was so bad! I am not very religious but I will never ever do something bad inside a mandir or a temple intentionally! And as bad as she is, she is supposed to be old enough and traditional enough to have known better!!
