asr and the bigger picture. that sounds nice. and perhaps that is what it was... don't sweat the small stuff. however, as an idea i have found it irksome, mainly because there's no real acknowledgment of the many little things he does for everyone... i guess i am sensitive about this man. a little silly, but then...

horizon, i enjoyed all the lovely "natak" by the dancers. just that something felt a little loose in terms of structure/logic (she'd gone into mime mode once before when asr said they wouldn't speak to each other, surely a bit sooner than this he would have guessed she's connecting khamoshi to this, esp his allegation that she would know nothing about it... once i can understand, but again?) aiya, anyway, all the dramabaazi was fun no doubt, everyone was good.

durga, yes we do make "adjustments" and no harm in that... it's really about acknowledging it, that's all. all the time we hear of his gussa and his strange ways and being akdoo. once in a way, about this... ok, just a pov.

if you can, please see two songs from khamoshi on yt, "tum pukar lo," and "humne dekhi hai," in waheeda's eyes something of asr. amazes me, the depth a call centre boy brought to the portrayal of a tv soap character.

Hawww Aapka wala question! Lucky u! One of these days I get u to join me in this coveted team sobtian...when I hv more time to give ofcourse. Anyway great question you ask him... And yes he has to draw from his real life to get it so right. I would so love to read his poetry ! I know it's personal fr his wifey, but wouldnt mind being nosey there! Will check out those two songs as I hv some time and look fr the asr in waheeda :)

Like the call centre boy says that he is luckyto find acting b/c it brings satisfaction to him like nothing...and even though he says he never planned to be an actor, I think he must've aspired :)

Does anyone remember the 1957 classic comedy movie, 'Dekh Kabira Roya'? It is the movie with the super hit Manna Dey song 'Kaun aaya mere man ke dwaare...". It is about three friends, a writer, a painter and a singer. Three girls fall in love with them, each thinking them to be somebody else, i.e. one girl falls for the singer, but assuming that he is the writer, and so on... Then ensues chaos, a roller-coaster ride throughout.

Why I brought this here, is my doubt that, is MAMR loosely based on this plot?So many couples in the movie, probably a confusion prevailing, the girl assuming the boy to be someone else, etc., etc. What do you think? Just wanted to share this.

One more thing, yesterday watched an epi of a dance reality show, where SI turned up to support her friend who's participating. The two girls behaving like young happy school girls, of course, nothing wrong in that. Was just wondering, if KJo, who is one of the judges, was shown some Khushi scenes at that time, he would have been spell bounded. Because looking at Sanaya at that time, no one would have believed that she did Khushi's role so brilliantly. What say?

Durga, "Dekh Kabira roya".. aahh.. watched it yrs ago.. only thing I recall is ofcourse Anoop Kumar's face for that golden song!!! the lyricists those days were officially poets, they would just write sheer brilliant lines for a relatively tepid scenarios, if I may say! MAMR based on it? Have to see, did some one answer this already?

Kjo, watching Khushi, we talked about how small Kjo's TV world/ knowledge is couple of threads ago. Would have been great if he watched/ appreciated SI playing Khushi... how much we feel these top performances deserve to reach the eyes of some top BW folks. but recall a discussion on Salman's Ek tha Tigerwhen that movie was released, where Salman's name's acronym is ASR and the female lead there hangs stars on her bed, just like Khushi, may be there are some IPK admirers in the younger BW clan!
