I don't know if this has been discussed on the forum before. I just recently read that Anupam Kher said Akshay Kumar is underrated

He's excited about Akshay Kumar's performance too. "Akshay is a vastly underrated actor. He's a victim of being typecast. But he's gone against the grain in Special 26 and Oh My God! He's trying hard to break the norm and given his tenacity, he'll succeed."

Nope. The place he is in these days... he deserves the place. The reason why we the social media folks don't say nasty things about him.

Yes! Akshay is basically my favourite actor, he has done justice to pretty much every role, romantic hero, villain, comic, tragic, serious etc. yet many don't take him seriously. He is an outsider who got everything himself and is very disciplined in his personal life. His personality is an added bonus.

Yesss . Akki is one of the best actors we have today , and he has grown a lot. But he is VERY underrated

no he is overrated. he is being one of the top stars doing all shitty movies. he has hardly done a movie that made any sense.

Yes, he has had a good success rate and is a very good actor. But, critics and awards have never been favourable to him. I remember he refused a Best Comedian award for Garam Masala and rightly so since comedy is harder than serious drama. Comedy movies work with audience but don't know what critics want. Not that awards are important but really how many awards can they give to SRK and RK while ignoring likes of Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.
