AR Rahman WAS My FAV composer but after Oscars baring Rockstar he hasn't come with single remarkable album

And besides Pritam is also a very good composer! He gave a Ccktail and Barfi in same year... Such a diverse albums! My Vote Goes To Him

I agree, AR Rahman was also my favorite, many wont agree but his last really good overall album, IMO, was Jab Tak Hai Jaan. I truly loved it, but its gone downhill since then. And he wasnt exactly lighting it before Jab Tak Hai Jaan either, Rockstar was hit and miss.

Pritam won me over with Cocktail and Barfi!

Amit Trivedi is my current favorite

His versatility is unmatched

Sorry didn't read the question properly so AR Rehman is better for me

Neither. Amit Trivedi currently. I liked AR Rahman until Delhi 6. Cannot remember any of his stuff thereafter, that's how much he has deteriorated, to put it bluntly.😵

LOL BRO JTHJ came less than 1 year how can he be down hill already

I liked a few of his Rhanajana Songs

But true Pritam is the man with Cocktail, Barfi YJHD, and even OUATIM 2

I used to like VS but CE really hurt me personally 😭😭😭

Anyway we Highway(ar rehman) vs Dhoom 3 (pritam) coming end of this year

I think now tho Pritam is no.1 in industry

but we have lots of good ones besides these 2, VS, Sachin-Jigar, Amit Tridevi , Sajid -Wajid, also Himesh and SEL can still churn them out

P.S. who did music of Aashiqui 2 that guy has arrived now but whats his name ???

Hes only done one in Hindi, but AR has also done a few in South since Jab Tak Hai Jaan release. And I believe it was Mithoon that did Aashiqui 2? But it was more than one that did the composing

How can Pritam be compared to AR Rahman, AR Rahman is a legend. He might have given some flop music but atleast he is talented, has unique compositions. Pritam's music is really good when you hear it the first time but then it goes downhill. Pritam is Anu Malik of this time. Hit music doesn't mean good music. Also, Pritam is not original a lot of his compositions have been lifted aka Anu Malik.
