Chapter 9

Arjun immediately got up from his seat, lifting the gun in his hand, "Ok toh main unse mil k aata hu."

Roshni too gets up to leave with him.

"Tum kaha aa rahi ho?"

"Aapk saath!"

"Nhi! Tum nhi aa rahi ho. Waha khatra ho sakta hai."

"Ye kya baat hui? Ye nhi, wo nhi...main kya..."

"Jo bola jaye use chup chap follow karo! Har baat par questions mat put up kiya karo. Ab baitho neeche aur case ki baki proceedings me help karo"

Roshni sits back reluctantly. Rathor stairs at Arjun and moves out with him.

"Arjun! Ek minute!" Rathor stops him, "Tujhe nhi lagta tu Roshni k saath kuch zyada hi strict ho raha hai..."

Arjun smiles slightly, "To tujhe kya lagta hai wo waise maan jayegi. Jis cheez k liye mana kiya jaye, wo to jaise karne me mazza aata hai use. Thodha sa strict toh hona hi padhega... Dekha na kaise mana karne k baad b office me entry le hi li."

"Arre wo Roshni mujhe baar-baar keh rahi thi...request kar rahi thi yaar wo..."

"I know! Emotional blackmail kiya aur tu b maan gaya. Khair, abhi main ja raha hu. Dekhna Roshni office me hi rahe. "

Arjun soon left from there. Rathor and the rest of the team started checking phone records and background of both Nick and Mili.

After some time, somewhere at a stranded place

Arjun sneaked in and found some people were loading something in a truck and a man was instructing them to make it fast. Then he could hear a man's groans and cries at far from a distance. He thought him to be Nick who must be kept here for his payback. He slowly stepped towards that direction to confirm once but then he heard someone coming. He couldn't make any move that might draw unwanted attention. He quickly searched for a place to hide and keep an eye on them.

Sometime later

Roshni entered in a dark old farmhouse, finding her way using her small torch. She saw some goons talking there. She sensed something fishy and quickly hid behind a pile of old cartons to look carefully. But unfortunately her torch light had been noticed.

"Kaun hai waha?"

Roshni instantly switched off the light and looked here and there to find a suitable place to hide. She ran inside the area and found a room at one corner. She entered the room and closed the door. That man came there running but returns on finding no one there. Roshni heaved a sigh of relief seeing that person leaving that place. She moved further into the room to look where she was. It was pitch black inside the room and she could see absolutely nothing.

She was moving really slowly so that to judge her steps. But hardly had she known that a man with strong build, who was also trying to find his way out, was nearing her. They both got bumped on each other. Roshni assuming him to be someone from the gang raised her hand to punch him. But the man being quick stopped the punch midway and it didn't take him long to guess that the shadow he was fighting with was that of a girl. Roshni didn't wait a second and gave one on his face with her torch. Though it was really dark, but he could sense that girl's pride on hitting him, freely flowing in the environment. He furiously moved towards her. Roshni again tried to hit him but this time he twisted her hand and took it at her back. He held her other hand with his other and pushed her to the wall.

"Chodho mujhe! Kaun ho tum?" She struggled to get out of his grip.

"Roshni!" He whispered hearing a familiar voice.

"Ae kaun hai udher?" The man outside the room shouted hearing their voices.

He covered her mouth with his hand and whispered again, "Ssshhh! Idher chalo!"

He pulled her with him and then found a cupboard nearby. He pushed her inside and then closed the door before entering in it too.

"Lekin tum ho kaun?" She again asked.

He kept his hand once again on his mouth and pushed her to the cupboard side. "Chup chap khadhi raho!"

The man outside the room entered inside and switched on the lights. It was this time when the lights entered inside the cupboard through small cracks and Roshni was able to see his face. She was shocked seeing Arjun in front of her. She blinked her eyes looking in that pair of intense eyes. Arjun was shocked as well as angry finding her here. At first he was looking at her as if he was just going to bombard her with questions but was just waiting for that man to leave... But then seeing in her beautiful eyes he was reminded of their romantic moments.

["Toh kaisa laga?" Arjun asked her showing their new house.

"Accha hai! Kiska hai?"

Roshni turned and asked him. He stepped back a bit, took out the house keys and showed it to her with a grin on his face.

"Sacchi!" She jumped in excitement.

Roshni gave him a quick hug. She quickly headed to check out other rooms. Arjun smilingly followed an overjoyed Roshni. After exploring the house, she felt it was quite big as compared to their need.

"Lekin itna badha ghar lene ki kya zarurat thi? Jab Gia aur aap bahar jaoge to itne badhe ghar mein main akeli rahungi." Roshni complained observing how big it was.

Arjun smiled hearing her complaints "Sirf itni si baat!" He came near her from the back and huskily said near her ears, "Tumne ye kaise soch liya ki main tumhe akele rehne dunga." He slowly removed her hairs and glided his fingers at her exposed back. She gasped and shivered at his touch. His fingers slowly reached her waist and twisted her to face him, "Hum hamesha teen thodhi rahenge..."

Roshni blushed hearing him. Arjun leaned to kiss her but she pushed him slightly and sprinted away towards the hall, "Lekin Gia ne kaha use koi jaldi nhi hai"

He smiled seeing her running away from him. He moved his fingers through his hairs and followed her. He tried to catch her "Dekha badhe ghar ka faida! Tum jitna chaho utna mujhse bhaag sakti ho." Roshni quickly moved away from him chuckling. Arjun continued "Lekin nuksaan yeh hai ki..." He made her think that he was going to right and quickly pinned her to the wall when she tried to get away from his left "...main tumhe pakadh hi lunga"

Both grinned and took deep breaths because of running around. Roshni tried to get out of his arms by ducking down but he didn't let her. He slightly leaned towards her and blew her hair off her face. Roshni blushed and closed her eyes. She slowly whispered "Hume late ho raha hai"

"Nhi toh!" He leaned further and kissed her neck.

She gasped and tried to hold the wall to stop herself from melting away.

"Gia..."

"Aaa aaan! Gia ko jaldi ho na ho. Mujhe to hai" He leaned to kiss her saying that.]

Roshni removed his hand from her mouth. She was feeling uncomfortable with his gaze and his closeness around her. Arjun came out of his thoughts and stepped back.

"Tum yaha kaise aayi?"

"Ssshhh! Shayad bahar koi hai!"

"Don't change the topic Rosh..."

But then Arjun realized that Roshni was right. He could sense that they were slowly approaching the cupboard and got ready with his gun. Yes, they were more than one. As soon as the door opened, Arjun's gun was pointed against several others for which he and Rosh was the target.

"Arjun! Roshni! Tum dono yaha kya kar rahe ho?" Rathor shockingly looked at them.

"Sam!" Arjun lowered his gun.

Arjun and Roshni were amazed seeing ETF outside the cupboard. It seemed that they have overpowered the goons. Arjun stepped out of the cupboard and gave his hand to Rosh who didn't take it and stepped out on her own. He annoyingly looked at Rosh.

Arjun (to Rathor) : "Tum yaha kaise aaye?"

Rathor : "Tera phone aane k baad! Mujhe pata tha tu bahar nahi rukne wala."

[Rathor : "Kaha hai tu?"

Arjun : "Imran k den par... mujhe yaha kuch gadhbadh lag rahi hai..."

Rathor : "Tu ruk main abhi pohoch raha hu..."

Arjun : "Itna waqt nhi hai. Main andar ja raha hu..."

Rathor : "Nhi!...Hello! Hello! Damn it! Arjun kabhi meri baat nhi sunta"]

Rathor : "Nick mil gaya hai. Yaha kidnap kark rakha tha use. Imran aur usk aadmiyo ko b humne arrest kar liya hai... "

Arjun : "Aur Mili?"

Rathor : "Kaun mili?"

Arjun : "Nick ki girlfriend Mili! Imran ne ye sab kiya zarur tha lekin Mili ke kehne par."

And he tells how she did all this for money. At first Nick and Mili's plan was to runaway with all the money but soon Nick realized that Mili was going to get him removed out of her way to keep the money for herself only. So he hid all the money. Mili got him beaten by Imran's goons at his flat but he ran away from there. But somebody called ETF and then she had cook up that story. Later Imran's man caught hold of him and were beating him to get the clue of hiding place.

Rathor : "Damn it! Jis tarah se wo har baat par ro rahi thi mujhe shuru se hi wo gadhbadh lag rahi thi."

Shree : "Chotu ab b uske flat k bahar hoga. Main use inform kar deta hu."

Rathor : "Ab chalo yaha se!"

Arjun : "Ek minute Rathor! Pehle Roshni ko apne seniors k order follow na karne ki explanation dene do."

Roshni was standing still at her spot. She knew this time Aisha would not support her as she too was angry at her.

Aisha : "Jawab do Roshni! Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho? Tumne to kaha tha tumhari tabiyat theek nahi hai aur tum seedha ghar jaogi."

Roshni : "Aap log mujhe kuch karne hi nahi de rahe the. Toh mujhe laga..."

Arjun (yelling at her) : "Kya laga tumhe haan? Kuch ho jata to?..."

Rathor moved towards Arjun to stop him, "Arjun abhi nhi!" But Arjun stopped him showing his hand "Tum log chalo! Mujhe Roshni se baat karni hai."

Everyone went outside leaving just two of them there.

Arjun : "Ab batao! Kyu karti ho aisa? Ek baar boli hui baat tumhe samajh kyu nhi aati hai?"

Roshni : "Why are you shouting? Aap kyu nhi samajhte ki ETF mein rehkar ye sab to karna hi padhega. Aap mujhe hamesha to yu har field operation se durr nhi rakh sakte."

Arjun : "Toh for chodh do ETF!"

Roshni : "Kya?... Aap senior hai lekin iska ye matlab nhi ki aap kuch b bolte rahenge aur main sun lungi. *not looking at him* Aur waise b aap kaun hote hai ye decide karne wale ki main kya karu aur kya nhi. "

Arjun angrily moved towards her, held her by her arms and shouted, "Roshni!"

Roshni was shocked at his move. Everything about him confused her. She tried to free her hand but his grip was too tight. Arjun realized that he was hurting her and left her. He stepped back from her. Roshni rubbed her hand to ease herself out of the pain. Arjun closed his eyes to control his anger...he was angry at himself for hurting her. He balled his fist and hit it with full force in the glass window, hurting himself and left from there leaving Roshni confused once again.
