Veer tells everyone that he doesn't want to marry Meera cos he loves somebody else. Everybody is initially shocked. Veer goes to Ammaji and seeks her forgiveness. Veer's parents try to make him understand that his action would destroy the prestige of both families and that they would return with the bride. Veer doesn't agree to this request and gets slapped by his Father. But Veer tells him that anybody's life is much more important than the respect and prestige of a family and he walks away. His parents and others too leave after him.
Alaka breaks down in tears and everybody goes away from the Hall. Meera understands the reason for Veer's refusal and mentally thanks him. Alaka goes to Meera and starts crying.
Abhi is siting in the Puja Room in front of Lord Krishna with tears in his eyes. Meera goes and places her hand on his shoulder. Abhi tells her that Meera's Krishna has lost. Meera then tells Abhi that Krishna had not lost since she is not married to Veer and that Veer had refused to marry her at the last moment. She also tells Abhi that she would of course get married one day and that would be to Abhi, since they are life partners, it just wasn't possible for her to wed someone else and Lord Krishna had also helped in this regard.
Alaka is sitting on the floor and crying her heart out. Meera goes to her with some food and tells her that even though things have not happened as they were thought to have happened, it doesn't mean that after this things will worsen. Hopefully, things will be better soon. She tries to feed a morsel to Alaka but Alaka refuses. Meera tells her that it is not correct to be upset with one's food or to cry during eating. Alaka embraces Meera who now thinks that Veer's refusal had actually given her another chance to rekindle her efforts for a Shan-Alaka marriage.
Suli and Ira are discussing the happenings when Suli mentions that she really felt sorry for Alaka today since no mother would want to see her daughter stay unwed even after sitting down in the wedding mandap. Ira asks her to shut up and tells her something must be the case since she didn't notice ny sadness, remorse or pain in Meera's eyes when Veer refused to marry her. She asked Suli not to worry about Meera and Alaka but to worry about her yet unmarried daughter.
Next morning, Abhi and Meera goes to meet Veer at the Hospital. Veer is happy to see them and congratulates them. Meera expresses her thanks and gratitude to Veer for helping them. Veer replies that although it was difficult yet the step needed to be taken, since he will get married one day or the other, but this marriage would destroy Shan and Alaka's fate forever. He also tells Meera that although they could not become life partners, yet he would be very happy to be friends with them and that whenever necessary, they should just call him. He will be forever ready to help his friends. Meera and Abhi are also very happy.
Back at home, Meera and Abhi discuss how without Veer's help, they would not have been able to do anything. And that it was due to the fact that Meera had visited him to the Hospital prior to the marriage and told him everything. Alaka hears everything from the door step.
