Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli perform puja at London home, photo goes viral

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently seen sharing a rare personal moment from their London home, where the couple performed a puja together. A photograph from the ceremony has been circulating widely on fan pages, drawing attention for its simplicity and calm setting rather than spectacle.

The image, shared by a fan account, shows Anushka and Virat posing alongside a priest after the religious ritual. The caption read, “Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma Performed A Religious Ceremony At Their Home In London.” Both appeared relaxed and smiling, offering a quiet glimpse into their private life away from public events.

In the photo, Virat Kohli is seen wearing a white kurta pyjama, keeping his look understated. Anushka Sharma opted for a peach coloured dress paired with a white cardigan, maintaining a minimal and comfortable style. The setting appeared intimate, with no elaborate decorations visible, reinforcing the personal nature of the moment.

The couple is currently based in London, where they have chosen to spend more time away from the constant public attention they faced in India. Although they relocated in 2024, both continue to travel back to the country for professional commitments, balancing work with personal priorities.

Last year, Dr Sriram Nene, husband of actor Madhuri Dixit, spoke about the couple’s move during a podcast conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. While discussing Virat Kohli, Dr Nene recalled a conversation with Anushka Sharma. He said, “We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here.”

He further explained the pressure of constant attention, adding, “Anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated.” Dr Nene also shared that the couple simply wanted to raise their children in a more normal environment, away from relentless scrutiny.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli first met in 2013 during the shoot of a television commercial. They kept their relationship largely private before marrying in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and became parents to a son, Akaay, in February 2024.
