I didn't mean to say that Piku was wrong.....

My point of discussion is that in a reality show why are we dividing people on the name of region...why do we have to say Assam people voted for you....does that mean that this contestant never got vote from any other part of India....When other contestan't votes are declared it is generally declared as per zone...and only Assam's name is mentioned

I think first of all we should blame Zee. When a contestant gets vote, why to declare to him or her or others that from which part he/she got maximum vote. Why even zone? Why not keep it a secret? Who is dividing or inducing the idea of division in the contestant? They think Assam people are crazy-fanatics. They made a hell lot of money during Challenge 2005 from SMS's by Assamese people. That trick they are trying to play every time, to them may be Assam is a money-making machine.

hmmm
It happens all the time...

While I consider myself Indian, I also consider tamil...
I dont think there is much wrong with that...

if srgmp announced the number of votes frome ach zone and east has maximum votes.. they do deserve a special thanks..

regional mentalities will exits as long as all regions are not treated on par with the other ones..

north east is the most neglected...

Dear Friends!

Good Morning!

I feel that the feeling of Assamese feeling integral part of India depends on the society they live in.I've'nt seen Assam ,So I cannot comment on its condition in comparison with other states of India.I some how feel that those states are just controlled by Army and liberation groups, the pitiable thing is common janta don't have much role to play.Lot of Army is deployed there because there are many (So called)liberation groups, those liberation groups may have the support of ordinary people else its tough for the liberation groups to survive.

From several years several Governments speak about special economic packages to those North eastern states ,if the implementation is proper why are those people still lagging behind.Government does'nt really care much about those states and people of that state also know it,So they feel they are isolated from rest of India. This feeling is widely prevalant in almost all the people of North Eastern Indian people. Its not any attitude problem.

So when those people get a chance to speak about their state they make it a point to emphasize the greatness of their state and their people and regarding Pooja ji and Zee they are not so imporant to me and I don't analyse on their sayings .

Cheers,

Mythili Kiran

Well said..... and probably the reason why almost entire Assam rallied behind Debojit in making him win the SRGMP as if their state pride depended on it........

BTW: I see nothing wrong with what Piku said. She just made an innocent remark. Part of her remarks come from the fact that the anhors/sponsors/judges of these shows promote regionalism to their benefit as has been been promulgated by several members in this thread.
