Ganga's selfishness - Page 5

For those who are praising sumitra's high moral standards for keeping quiet about ganga's whereabouts and not blurting it out to ratan singh... I feel that sumitra does not deserve that kind of praise just yet.

first of all, sumitra is conditioned to not open her mouth when elders or menfolk are there to do the talking. Given that basant was there, she will never open her mouth.

second of all, sumitra was aware that dadisa is upstairs. To point out ganga's location would also mean putting dadisa at risk, because the goons would all go upstairs to look for ganga.

third, it is apparent to sumitra that blurting something out at the spur of the moment may have backfiring results. sumitra is a considered individual. she is not impulsive type.

so let us not say that she kept quiet for the sake of protecting ganga. there are other reasons why she kept quiet which have nothing to do with ganga.

this reminds me of a funny joke where a kidnapper kidnapped a talkative child and asked for a ransom of a huge amount.

the father did not pay and was not worried.

next day the child was delivered back with a note and a huge amount from the kidnapper because the child talked too much and said "with gratitude if you please keep him, he talks too much".

I feel that even if saanchi is kidnapped, ratan singh will deliver her back... she wont sit quietly. 😆
