Chapter 5 ' Interplay

"Yu huuu SURPRISE !!! " Kria barged inside the cabin and stood closing her eyes with her hands wide open and weight of her hips on one leg and grinning ear to ear ..

She felt herself being picked up in 2 strong arms and twirled ..

But a sound brought her back from her dreamland .. and she found that her feet were still on the ground .. and she couldn't feel any hands around her ..

She slowly opened her eyes .. only to be stared at by 5 pair of unfamiliar eyes .. some were shocked as hell .. some were amused and some were confused .. she frowned as she had expected someone else .. but opened her eyes wide to register where exactly she was and whom she was facing .. she straightened herself .. pulled her hands down and kept it on her sides a bit awkwardly ..

"Oops .. I guess I am in the wrong room .. " she murmured and was going to turn ..

"No .. you are in the right room , but at the wrong time .. "

She heard the familiar voice she was longing to hear .. only difference was that it was stern and cold and when she turned towards the voice .. she saw herself faced with an angry Shivam who was standing and giving a presentation ..

"Excuse me Gentlemen .. I will be back .. " he apologized to the audience sitting in his cabin and then turned to Kria .. held her firmly by her waist and ushered themselves out of the cabin ..

"Kria .. what kind of a joke is this .. ?" he gritted angrily as he locked the adjacent cabin door behind him ..

"I am sorry , Shiv .. I wanted to surprise you .. " she removed her overcoat and hung it on the chair and then she held her ears with her hands and made a puppy face ..

"You know I hate surprises .. and moreover didn't you ask my receptionist if I was free at the moment .. It was such an important meeting .. do you have any idea .. ?" he seemed annoyed at being disturbed ..

"Actually .. " she bit her lower lip .. "I had asked .. she did say you were busy .. but how was I supposed to know that you would be in a meeting .. " she again twitched her nose and kept blinking her lashes and apologized ..

He looked at her for some time and then smiled .. he could get angry on her in a moment .. but she could melt him in a time lesser than that .. "Grow up , Kria .. " he shook his head ..and pulled her close him and hugged her tight .. buried his face in the crook of her neck .. she in turn pushed herself totally onto him .. "I missed you .. " she spoke softly .. They were meeting after 4 long months .. It was no joke for her ..

"I missed you too , honey .. " inhaled her scent .. and sucked on her soft tender skin ..

He pulled back and looked at her face closely .. he cupped her cheeks gave her a gentle kiss on her lips .. Kria was not satisfied with such a small gesture .. she pulled his lips into her mouth and kissed him ravishingly .. he smiled into the kiss and then gave her exactly what she wanted ..

As he pulled apart from her , he eyed her head to toe and asked "What are you wearing .. for god sake its my office .. ?" a bit of fake anger on his face ..

She stood straight and then with her fingers made a snapping sound with her shoulder straps .. "This is called spaghetti top .. my dear .. " .. she toyed a bit with her index finger at the beginning of her valley .. "Small sneaky peeky for you " she giggled .. then she turned around swaying her hips a bit .. "These are called hot pants " .. then she twisted her leg a bit to point to her knee length boots ..

"Don't I look s*** in these ?" she asked excitedly ..

He grabbed her by her waist .. "Of course honey .. but you should know that these are inappropriate for office .. and I really don't like it .."

"Huh .. " she made a 'o' face .. "You are so boring .. " she scrunched her nose ' " I thought I would get a dramatic reaction from you on seeing me like this .. " and scowled at him ..

She immediately felt his grip tighten around her waist .. with his right hand he tilted her head a bit .. and looked at her lips .. "You will get my reaction when we meet in the evening .. I would love it if you do this when we are alone " he said in his deep voice and then seized her lips in a short hungry kiss ..

When he left her .. she touched her lips with her fingers .. "This is what I had expected " she winked ..

He rolled his eyes and smiled .. "By the way , where are you staying .. ?"

"At Rey's apartment .. its around half an hour drive from yours .. "

"Great .. "

"Ok .. now I have to go for my meeting .. here take this keys to my apartment .. meet you tonight at my place .. " he handed her the keys ..

She grinned .. "Sure ' " shaking the keys in her fingers and making the jingling sound ..

"Love you .. Kria .. " as he opened the cabin door ..

"Love you too .. " she sighed and picked her long overcoat to leave behind him too ..

"Shiv .. my cell is ringing .. " she tried to push him gently from above her and get up from the couch as she realized that her cell was now ringing for the 3 rd time ..

"Mmm mmm " he simply ignored her and pushed her hands back above her head and went about kissing her neck more ferociously ..

"It may be urgent .. "she tried again in between her heavy breaths ..

"Nothing can be more urgent than this " and he gave her a slight bite and achieved a moan from her lips .. he smiled at his effort and then licked the area ..

He pulled himself a bit up and then placed his lips gently on her quivering and awaiting lips .. Kria forgot everything about the call as she automatically started responding to him making the soft kiss into a passionate one ..

When they pulled apart to grasp some air , she again heard her cell ringing and then something struck her about the ringtone .. "Shiv .. the call is from India " she said hurriedly ..

"So ?" he asked annoyed ..

"Just 2 minutes , Baby .. I have to attend it .. "

He frowned but moved from above him .. She quickly pecked his lips and took the call ..

"Yes Mom .. I am so sorry .. " she profusely apologized ..

"Kria .. its ok .. but you could have made just one call to let me know that you both have reached safely and settled .. I am trying to call Rey .. but his cell is also switched off .. "

"Mom .. I am really sorry for not informing you .. as for ,Rey must be busy getting acquainted with the office folks here " she bit her lip because she knew that she was lying again .. she knew where Rey would be busy .. just like her .. he would be with Taani .. but she wondered why was his cell switched off '

"Mom ..I will tell Rey to call you tomorrow .. now it must be very late in India .. please now you go off to sleep and rest .. " she spoke softly ..

"Hmm " Rey's mom gave a snort ..

Kria smiled .. "I love you mom .. " and she could feel Rey's mom smiling ..

"Love you too .. and miss you both a lot "

Kria could feel how Rey's mom must be feeling .. Rey and Kria had been forever with her .. even when they went to university .. at least either one was with her .. now she must be feeling so lonely ..

"Mom .. we wanted you to come with us .. but you only denied .. still we would love if you want to come and stay with us for sometime .."

"Of course not sweety .. I would never want to disturb my new wed love birds " Rey's mom chuckled ..

Kria tried to smile at the joke ..

"I am fine here .. you both enjoy and be safe .. ok ?"

"Yes .. Mom .. now goodnight and sweet dreams .. you take care of yourself too ' "

After she cut the call and came and settled in Shivam's arms ' he looked at her and raised a brow "Mom ?" he questioned ..

"Anita Aunty .. Rey's mom .. I am calling her mom now " she explained

"Oh ok .. "

"In the excitement to meet you , I forgot to call her and inform her that we reached here and all .. "

"That's not right , Kria .. she must have been so worried .. " he gently caressed her hair ..

"Hmm .. ya she was .. and that moron Rey also didn't call her .. "

Shivam laughed .. "But .. you do call her whenever you get time ok .. Honey .. she must be alone there .. as both of you here "

"Ya .. " said Kria dejectedly but she was a bit surprised that how Shivam understood certain things which she had overlooked ..

He saw her sullen face .. then cupped her cheeks in his palms .. "Ok now don't be sad about it .. come on .. give me your s*** smile ,Honey " as he kissed her nose ..

She smiled immediately .. and snuggled more closer to him ..

"Let's do one thing .. let's all meet up .. we two and Rey and Taani .. I haven't met Rey from a very long time .. so what say .. "

"Wow .. great idea .. " she was really happy .. she gave him a quick smooch ..

He laid down on his back and she curled up comfortably next to him .. "Kria .. " after a while he spoke ..

"Hmm "

"This marriage thing with Rey .. you sure .. it would all be settled in a few months .. " he asked a bit doubtfully ..

"Yes .. Shiv .. don't worry .. almost all the paper work in India is done .. but before taking divorce .. we need to wait for a few months .. so this "

"Ok"

"And you know how Arjun Uncle is .. I had told you about him .. I have never seen more disgusting man than him in my life .. "

"Hmm .. yes .. he seems to be too money minded .. "

"Ya .. so we just have to be careful .. but .. you please don't worry .. "

"Yes .. I was just asking because ,I would like you to meet my parents .. "

She tilted her head to face him .. "When .. "

"Actually they are here for my cousin's wedding for a week .. so I could set the meeting anytime next week .. what say "

"Sure .. " she smiled ..

"But .. one thing is there .. " he made a sit straight and held her shoulders ..

"What ?" she asked surprised ..

"I would like you to wear a saree on that day .. "

Kria almost screamed and jerked herself back .. "NO WAYS " and she started shaking her head in negative ..

He held her again gently .. "Listen .. listen .. calm down .. please for me .. "

"I can't .. I mean .. I have never worn a saree .. "

"I know that .. but you know .. they are a bit traditional kind of .. and you are meeting for the first time .. so you know " he looked at her dress " such clothes won't be suitable for the first meeting .. " he tried to explain her ..

"What's wrong with these ?" she wailed ..

"See Kria .. nothing is wrong .. I just feel that you need to wear certain attire for certain events .. that's it .. you can wear it all the time when you are with me .. but not in front of them .. please "

"I can wear jeans .. " she tried to argue ..

"Kria , an Indian traditional attire would be must apt for the first time .. please try to understand .. "

"Ok .. " she scowled ..

"Kria .. don't you get bored of wearing these ultra-casual clothing .. I mean whenever I see you ,you are in tang tops and shorts .. " he smiled ..

"I am most comfy in them .. and what do you mean by when you see me .. we meet so occasionally .. "she pouted ..

He laughed .. "Kria ,I really wonder when will you leave your teeny image and grow into a lady .. you know you are 27 "

"Don't you dare .. " she glared and punched him on his chest .. "Don't remind me of my age .. " he laughed and pulled her in yet another loving kiss which he knew would get her in the right mood ..

Kria entered Rey's apartment late at night with her own keys .. She was dead tired .. she went in the kitchen if she could find something to eat .. she had this very bad habbit of having a midnight snack before sleeping ..

The minute she entered the kitchen , she could smell a beautiful aroma .. she saw some bowls kept with their lids covered .. she opened them one by one to reveal sumptuous and inviting delicacies .. she was sure Rey can't cook all this .. Moreover , the cook was supposed to join after 2 days ..

What the heck .. who cares ..

The food looked so tempting that she just dipped her fingers and started eating it .. licking it .. slurping it .. it was really tasty ..in the process dropped some .. but still ate most of it ..

It was when she was moving towards the bedroom that she realized that there was someone already in the house .. she could hear slight murmur .. till now she was so occupied with her hunger and tiredness that she had not even thought if Rey was in the house or no ..

She walked sneakily and as the bedroom door was slightly ajar , she peeped in slightly ..

"I am so happy that you came" a teary Taani hugged Rey tightly as they sat on the bed with her head on his shoulder .. "I really needed you "

"I had to come .. Just for you .. " he slowly caressed her back ..

"I missed you .. "

"I missed you too .. Now am here .. So don't worry ..ok .. Sweetheart .. " he slightly kissed her hair ..

"After meeting your Dad .. I am feeling much better .. I was so worried for you .. "

"But .. doctors still say that he is not totally out of danger ... I just hope he recovers soon .. " the tears which she had been holding now started flowing down her cheeks ..

"Of course he will .. now please sweetheart .. I am with you .. so I really need you to smile .. " he tried to cup her cheeks '

But she looked away ..

He gently wiped her tears .. "Please for me .. "

She looked at him and gave him a weak smile ..

"Much better .. "

"Ok .. let's do one thing .. let's go out tomorrow somewhere .. you have been running around home and hospital for all this time .. it would be a break for you .. " he brought her closer to himself and said ..

She smiled bit more comfortably ' "Don't you have to join the office here .. check out everything .. ?"

"Ya ya .. but we can go out in the evening ..right ?"

"Ok .. sure .. "

"So our first date in London " he winked and blew air on the hair which were coming on her eyes ..

She blushed .. and looked away ..

Rey slowly brought her hands close to his lips and kissed it .. She smiled shyly ..

"You know Taani .. we know each other for now an year .. you blush when I just come near you .. what will happen when I actually do something ?" she looked at his smirking face with shocked eyes and had turned completely red due to his words .. she quickly hid her face into his chest ..

Rey laughed and tried to make her look at him .. but she kept burying her face in his chest ..

"Ok .. ok .. sweetheart .. its pretty late .. I will drop you home .. your mom would be waiting for you .. "

"Ya .. " she finally looked at him ..

"Oh .. by the way .. " she suddenly remembered something '" you didn't even eat the dinner I had prepared for you .. "

"Don't worry .. I will eat it .. come .. " he gave her a quick peck on her nose ..

Kria almost covered her open mouth with both her hands to stifle her laughter .. she took a few deep breaths to calm down and then literally crawled away as quietly as possible to the guest room ..

Rey and Kria had kept their stuff in the bedroom as well as in the guest room , so that either of them could be used by them ..

She entered the guest room shaking her head and laughing and talking to herself .. " She is so weird .. how can anyone blush so much .. I am sure Rey has a long way to go before he kisses her on her lips .. " and she sat on the bed and started laughing .. Then she looked at herself in the mirror .. caught her chin with her index finger and thumb and moved her head a bit to the right and then to the left checking her cheeks .. " I really wonder if my cheeks could go as red like hers .. " she twitched her nose .. "Nah .. I guess Kria ..you just need a bit of more rouge on your cheek bones .. " and she again laughed ..

"Oh my god " Taani shrieked and covered her mouth with both her hands and her eyes were as wide as saucers ..

"Who did this ?" she looked at the half eaten dinner .. the uncovered bowls .. the spilled over stuff .. the dirty dishes and spoons just kept on the kitchen counter ..

Rey of course knew who the culprit was .. so he just pulled Taani to himself to distract her .. "Its fine sweetheart .. your food must have been so yummy , am sure that Kria couldn't control herself .. I will clean it .."

"It's so not done .. now what will you eat .. ?" she was seriously angry ..

Rey found this trait so funny in Taani .. she was always so calm and composed .. but when it came to untidiness or any sort of unclean stuff .. she would just blow up .. he wondered from where does so much anger suddenly springs out from her ..

He smiled at her .. "I still could eat something .. if you allow me to .. " he made a puppy face ..

This was enough to melt Taani .. "Don't you think , I am getting late now ?" she immediately changed the topic ..

"But .. I am still hungry .. "

Before he could blink , she placed her hands on his shoulders and quickly gave a peck on his cheek .. and stepped back blushingly ..

He smiled whole heartedly and gathered her tenderly in his arms and then kissed her earlobe "I love you Taani .. "

"I love you too "

Phew .. finally updated this .. I know took a very long time .. But .. just wanted to bring out the characters well ..

I also know there is no KR moments here .. still the update is so long .. <<need to pat my back for that :-) >>

Next update definitely will have funny KR moments .. like all the previous chapters for this SS ..
