wow this CB is becoming a bank of excellent writers. I have to see the episodes and not miss each of your comments to have the right balance of the show. Now I have to find how to get some more time in my life, my hubby has already given up on me, whatever little time I get I spent on the computer 😆 What a journey this has become. I started watching this show for SLB, then the original novel intrigued me but now the icing on the cake is I get to read such superb writings, thanks to all of you. 😊 A special thanks to Arshi for the CB threads. Aap na hothe tho hum na hothe, tho shukriya tho bantha hai ji 😊

both need an alpha - beta optimum mix, which has to alternates basis the situation..when and which battles to pick types

...earlier both very only one flavor...now they are adapting to the situation...that's emotional growth & maturity

...where will they go...no idea...but fingers tightly crossed...

I have to confess, I gave more importance to Dukh baa till now... But post today, I'm looking at Guniyal in a new light... Because evidence is no marker of strength... First reading was more a casual curiosity and even more 'a dislike' after the end. Though more appreciative of sheer linguistic genius this time, yet stuck up on third part...though I am trying to stay factual and objective here...

Yes indeed, but only when Cvs decide to employ...for example, remember VC-LN patch up done by Dukhba? Well, her entire script (suddenly less loud and more judicious) reminds one only how Book's Guniyal was tackling one crisis after another on domestic front. And she was never OTT there. Quiet and discreet always.

As for your question, yes Dukh baa is an unalloyed SLB construct. She and Danny. As told here earlier, Both were cursory mentions in book. Dukhba little more, along with Sahas rai and Kumari, again 'a crisis' solved by Guniyal and Maan Chatur...but she was gone even before engagement. LN- DB never even knew each other...

Obviously whole construct, along with Saraswati's suicide- even name changed from original 'Chandra Laxmi', is purely devised to make Lead character much more palatable than in its original form. And it's a clever adaptation. It is working. Personally Serial's SC is much more amenable than Book...'Saras' too is a good innovation.

As for full power of 'Chandrakant', we will soon see it 'unleashed' first as Gumaan's unravelling by both- flashing Sunny debunking the ruse and 'Bharat' Danny disowning her straight, and than, they would track him down for distraught LN.

So true, Kaadal, such superb analysis and new insights, beautiful writing styles, CB has the best of the best!

I too feel bad not being able to take active part in all the discussions, par kya kariain!

The appreciation of the show really increases multi fold thanks to all the wonderful contributions from everyone, a complete 360degrees look at every episode

We have been missing you the last few days, Nandy will be back in 10 days or so. Have been missing her a lot

Certain K is now more relaxed at finding such a support system in place.😃

Samarth, you are so right. As soon as Pramad said "Kuch tho baath hai thum mein". my mind was screaming No way, back off from her. She is not yours." I was holding my breath until that fellow said "Par vo baath nahi jo mujhe chahiye". pheww thank god for once I was happy Kumud is not someone's type. Kumud looked like a puthla in his hands shivering under his touch fearing what he is going to do. I hope we don't get any of his nasty scenes any more.
