How many times has Kumud watched Saras from back (when he was leaving VC's house) and in fact all the angles ..near and far...Can't she identify him still...does that bandage around his head make so much of a difference to his identity ? 😕

Kumud is haunted by Saras ki yadein

And Saras haunted by the tragic events of that day!

...
Guniyal is still worried about Kumud,

She doesn't know how right she is!
...

Desais - Ironic, but not really surprising- that Kumud always seemed to be Daddy's daughter, but it's actually mommy who knows her best "Swaabhimani hai woh!" and so is more worried for her...😔

The two triangles in BD's mansion dont seem to me to be very convincing yet...😕

Kumud may want to stay for her family's sake, so she is working her way around the Pramad-Kanika situation...which has been kindly dumped in her lap! I cannot see see apna Kumud pining for that scoundrel, though😆 Pramad (slowly) is getting the idea that he may have bitten off more than he can chew, when he brought THIS bride home...😆

The Alak-Hubby relationship reduces BD to suppressed laughter??BD ws choking back a laugh when Hubby said he'd rather be as soldier at the front than face Alak!! I wonder how that rishta came about in the first place? Another shotgun wedding? 😲 Alak is definitely impressed with Saras, and seems to have an instinct that he's been through some emotional trauma besides the physical assault... I did not get anything more than a friendly vibe from her to Saras, let's wait and watch! 😊

The longest scene today I thought was between BD and Saras, with many glances from both of them directed to Alak, including her in their conversation. ! It had references to fathers, sons, ghar-parivaar, jaane ke liye nahi aaye ho, nayi shuruat,, kaabiliyat ka pehchan,...What were the CV's trying to tell us there? Simply justifying his continued presence in the mansion? Or something more?

Is the BD-Naveen/Saras relationship big in the novel?

Also very curious to see Saras and Kumud react when each finds out the other is here in the same house! I think she already half-knows, else why so much curiosity about the "khubsoorat" (Moorat Das's word, not mine!) invalid?

p.s. What was that invented FB scene- Saras & Kumud in some picket-fenced place definitely not VC haveli - and her feeding him daliya? When did that happen?

Also nobody seems to ask Naveen/Saras who beat him up and why? Logic ki vaat, as we say (a lot) hereabouts 😉

Chupke chupke raat din aansu bahaana yaad hai
Humko ab tak aashiqui ka voh zamaana yaad hai

Do paher ki dhoop mein mere bulaane ke liye
Voh tera kothe pe nange paaon aana yaad hai
Film: Nikha, Singer: Gulam Ali.

Ok, it is dragging again. Hide and seek will continue for how long...may be another month or so.

Only saving grace was Kumud's flashback.

Kalika-Pramad, more torture please...loved the way Kumud responded back...my only problem is I don't want Pramad falling for Kumud.

How come Kumud didn't recognize Saras from his back?

So only MIL is busy with DIL, others are busy in election/other stuff.
Didn't like Kumud's necklace.
Alak is as useless as her brother...so rude to her husband.
I like FIL's acting...his dialogue delivery is really good.
Rtaing: 7/10, Skip it!

Flash back...I thought I was the one who missed that episode...it looks like it was never aired...may be saved for this. I dont think Alak will have liking for Saras as she knows it will be bad for her political career. yes I can sense "what hapened to you" looks..everytime she looks at Saras.
BD and Saras scenes...may be CVs wanted to reflect LN and Saras episodes..and a reason for letting Saras to saty in the house.
Both Alak and BD did ask Saras re what ahpend to him in yesterdays episode.
Logic ki vaat is: Kumud can't recgonise Saras in different angles...she will recognise him by his face only :)

nice to see kumud playing out the alpha and beta roles appropriately ...and saras going alpha...as predicted by our theory and as what is required by them to grow up...

I don't get how kumud cannot recognize saras...

When she was upstairs, she could hear BD clealry enough...but cannot hear the rest of the convo when saras was speaking...after spending so much time with saras, surely she can figure out its at least someone like saras after seeing him from all possible angles except the full frontal...ideally you should be able to make out its saras..

..In the novel saras appears at kumud's inlaws after about 3 months, by the time she is completely immersed in her mess...over here the CVs have brought him in her home immediately and living there...

..so CVs...either get them to see each other quickly (maybe tomorrow)...else move him out of the house...else this is a logic ki vaat which will only get more and more unreal as time goes by...

...and don't care much for her prim & proper school teacher look...and like Iviewer has said...decked up like a christmas tree...miss the simplicity, clean lines and colors of her earlier look & dresses...but that was the age of innocence which has come to an end...satyug se kalyug mein aa gaye hain hum...so looks like I will have to live with this look going forward...😕

oh..miss the good old days!

Saras has taken a stand to start afresh for his identity.
Kumud has also taken a stand to fight for her rights.
How it gets intertwined now..waiting to watch.

FIL, impressive choice for the actor.
Alak, reminds me of many woman politicians, whose husbands remain in the shadow. Not surprised she has chosen a henpecked husband for herself. Shaadi - a tick box exercise, for her.

Logic ki vaats list building up again. Easy to pick up on these if main story is not getting detailed.

My thoughts always go back to Desais. They just pushed her into this without even talking to their would-be son-in-law. Didn't even see his face. Is this done in this day? Did they even check if he is a decent guy? We are all talking about Kumud and Saras's manodasha and all. Did the Desais ever think about Pramad's manodasha? What does it tell about a guy who is ready to marry a girl whose marriage alliance just broke. Kumud made a compromise but Desais never thought of this. I am not able to get over this at all.
Now they are already talking about her adjustment. This is just her day 1 in her sasuraal and they already talk about Kumud's samjhoutas with her household. While VC's dialogue to Guniyal on asking her to understand Kumud's samjhoutas in the same vein as her own was great in general, but very mispalced and harsh on Kumud.
And Saras did think about his recent past while making the decision but somehow that didnt convince me enough. He is answerable to Desais. They treated him like their own(well they didnt treat him too royally and were prejudiced many a time).
And Kumud, her misery is increasing by the day. She can't go like this for long. Feel for her.
Alak's character is getting too much. Looks like she already admires Saras.
Sunny and Danny do not want to find out what happened to Saras. Danny does not want to call to find out about the marriage? Sunny is still waiting for Saras's call?
VC's haveli was so different and lively. This new mansion is so boring and we have to see this more often:(

Well, the events that led to Kumud's marriage were such that make this a complex question to answer!

The reasons for rushing into the wedding were not right, but can understand their compulsions

Yes, I wish the Desais had questioned why the grooms family is agreeing to the sudden marriage?

Also, what reason has given VC to them ? They knew that Kumud was to get married , then what assurance did they give to VC?

CVs have a lot left unanswered ,

I miss the haveli and we also need to ,like Kumud , adjust to the new family!

Arshi, today was perfect to highlight the subtle distinctions between "kal" and "kal"... LOVED your first ten lines... Summed up the perplexing ehsaas games of this week so crisply (pun unintended)... Beautifully broken indeed... "broken" here, in the dual sense of the word... 👏

A word on performance: Today Gautam owned the show, though it might have not seemed so at an obvious level. His was a solid, subtle and restrained execution carried off with far more dazzle than evident... Relying solely on nuance, body language and voice modulation, the fire in his eyes (dimmed and scorching by turns), the breaking voice, the palpable heartbreak, the import of breaking all ties (no one waits for me any longer...), the broken shell of the man he's resolved to shed, once and for all... Saras' appeal is not quintessensial and neither is Gautam's... Sanjay Sir has v astutely sussed out a brilliant diamond in the rough 👏 Welcome back on your feet, Mr. Sar... err, "Navinchandra"... Making inroads straight into our hearts... Not to mention that of one-half of the Dhan's...

Today, also clarified the missing element of the Buddhi Dhan - Alak connect: Modified version thus reads: Buddhi Dhan - Navinchandra - Alak, with Kumud now left to deal with the MIL - Pramad - Kalika nexus... With Alak looking to be a likely Saras ally in the future, rather than a Kumud confidante... Scene setting is also over, all the pawns are in place with allegiances to some extent defined... However, I think we're in for some more wait. J is taking off on a holiday, in the interim the primary focus may shift to the Desai's, the Vyas' or the absence may be used to further flesh out the B - N - A connect. From a dramatic viewpoint, would much prefer the confrontation happens after J gets back. It represents one, if not the highpoints of this track, would rather that the emotional gut-punches came without breaking off. Our leads are certainly capable of putting us through one hell of an emotional wringer... Don't need a breather, any lull in the action... Want at least a week of intense epis to ensure that the Saras - Kumud track re-catches momentum. Bank episodes will only satisfy the bare minimum... Cannot bear Saras staring passionately at and talking to doors again... SC has gone a level up in the recent past. Purely personal opinion, but I'm ready to wait. Preference in the meantime would be the Vyas'... Would love to see Danny and Sunny back. Seems like a lifetime =( Even eager to see Gumaan, she wins hands down on Kalika 🤢

Also, it is really heartening to see the CV's building up on and picking the previously left markers, if only to further construct and drop them off again... Shows consistency and viewer regard on their part... 👍🏼 I'm the happiest when I can make correlations... Epi by epi queries are answered, if not outright then, subtle hints are nonetheless on offer... Today was no less. Apologies in adv for coming across as unduly enthusiastic... I am. I've taken my first baby steps into the big, bad world of Indian telly soaps, and alternately I'm filled with genuine wonder and dread. I'm Hugo. I stumble, pick myself up, only to stumble again, but I won't trade this for anything. This CB and its members of course play a huge part in making the journey thus far, so insightful and memorable =)

I really expected Dukh Baa (thank you smrth for the clarification and most intriguing context. Much appreciated!) to be the one hearing the faint alarm bells but it is Guniyal... Strange because VC and Dukh Baa have always made claims to knowing Kumud best... But at the same, they are not privy to her biggest secret, only Guniyal is... The VC, Guniyal convo underscoring Guniyal's prowess as an ideal homemaker, was also echoed by the pados ke ladies... This recalled an interesting past CB discussion between smrth and veera (if I'm not mistaken) as to the nature of VC and Guniyal's marriage in the source... And how that matches up to K's personal aspirations for her own wedded life... How on the mark they were! 👏 Today it is evident that Guniyal's renown as Mother, Wife, DIL, precedes her... I say this with a negative connotation because Gun sundari's daughter will now have to follow in her footsteps, regardless of whether she has that marital support system in place. More than Kumud's personal desires or efforts, it will be societal expectations that will drive her, that she will strive to fulfill, again inexorably linked to her family's and specifically, her mother's izzat and sanskaar... The "unfair" expectations are already there, Kumud will have to match strides and live up to the legacy of Gunn sundari... The ideal homemaker... Another resolute tie keeping her in place has just been revealed... Two "mothers" holding her back... Another "mother" silently giving her blessings (Saraswati)... Right now, K has every reason to make a go of her marriage and no reason to the contrary... Except her memories, and the dream that refuses to let go of her, because somewhere inside, she refuses to let go of the dream... But what happens when she is presented with the one most important reason to the contrary? That is the day when Kumud will have to reach deep down inside just to find that her own heart is still beating.

And now, the flash back of what never happened... Last episode I was wondering of the FB's and here they are... With a twist. SC always blazes its own trail... What an unexpected and unfair gut-hit of nostalgia, CV's!... But at the very least there is a novelty factor to it... By the same token, it also incites more emotions than a typical flashback would... Chiefly, hope, that we may in future, also get to see glimpses of what the genda phool's substituted for that night ... I jest. I don't hope either... The flashbacks also represent an important progression in Saras and Kumud's path back to rational consciousness, the trauma has subsided enough to enable them to re-visit it again, from a distance. The wisps of smoke are gaining coherence. Telling though that Saras' triggered memories were of LN first, and Kumud after (provocation nothwithstanding)... Shows where his deepest wounds lie. He knows he has done wrong by her, but the root of his hurt is his father. Navinchandra proclamations aside, Saraswatichandra still lives and breathes inside the man.

Another marker, dropped just yesterday and picked up, dropped off again today were the similar sentiments echoed by both Saras & Kumud and by Buddhi Dhan:

K: Main wapas jaane ke liye nahin aayi hoon

BD: Tum yahan se jaane ke liye nahi aaye ho

S: Main yahan wapas jaane ke liye nahin aaya hoon

Buddhi Dhan... Liking him more after today's episode. The actor has a commanding screen presence and a fantastically calming dialogue delivery... Above sentiment, reiterated, represents resolve to move forth and begin things afresh, yes, a desire to give the current circumstances their best shot, definitely, a willingness to provide a troubled soul some stability, affirmative... But also... Re: Saras and Kumud... It is but a promise to each other, to themselves and to us, made on a sub-conscious level... Remember the crossroads they're at, well, they're also closing distances, destined for a full-frontal collision... Alpha against Alpha or Beta against Alpha or Alpha against Beta or Beta against Beta, remains to be seen... The powerplays of destiny, indeed...

Final Verdict: Today's episode was all about the sublimal... Loved it! 👍🏼 Events are gaining momentum, but appreciate the fact that viewers are not being spoon-fed. Rather, any fill-in-the-blanks are conditional upon inclination and initiative. At this point, a huge thanks to smrth and the other CB participants for generously sharing crucial, and insightful details from the source. The members of the CB have a distinct advantage because of this. In turn, the watching experience becomes even richer.

Brilliant post again, iViewer! 👏

@Bold, I think I need to check the meaning of quintessential, will get back to you on that! If Saras can crack the heart of even that female politician which woman stands unaffected?

@Blue, Love your Three Mothers Theory!

@Red, If only...😆

@Green, yes that's consistent. If LN hadnt caused him that amount of pain, Saras would never have abandoned Kumud...😭

@Purple, Yes, yes, yes! You said it! CV's, you are the best! 🤗 in advance!
