Ignoring all the hoopla surrounding the show's closure...hope the worst doesn't happen.

Really shocked at seeing the new Ruqaiya today.

Did Smiley quit? Why? And what was the reason for her abrupt exit?

I think she had the perfect charisma to play Ruqaiya. The new one...looks the part, but somehow doesn't exude the same confidence that Smiley did. Of course...to be fair to her, she is just settling into the boots of the character.

No, she was unwell, I believe. She couldn't continue due to her health issues. It's too soon to talk about new Ruqaiyaa, but honestly, she appears very vamp-ish to me, unlike Smilie who seemed the perfect balance of grey. I really liked smilie as Ruqaiyaa. I hope I grow to like this girl too, even if as a fine vamp. 😉

I am missing old Rukaiya...What is strange that Jodha insults Mughals indirectly but Mallikaye-Hind doesnt order to arrest her! !!!!!!! Instead asks shopkeeper abt her name...

Definitely not pleased with the replacement. Of course, health issues constitute a genuine reason. It is good that she quit.

Shooting for Indian soaps is very strenuous, I've heard. Long working hours, no proper work conditions, lack of organized scheduling...

But I hope Smiley's health gets better soon. 😊 And Due to health problems,It's good that She quits bcoz health comes first of all. 😳
But I want to See her back as Ruqaiya when She gets well,I don' t think the new girl suits the charachter of Ruqaiya. 🤢 For me Smiley was the Best,And her Chemistry with Rajat is Really Sizzling and I loved to watch their scenes. 😉 😳 But I'm gonna hate and already hating the New Ruqaiya scenes with Jalal,She looks too much -ve as stated in a comment above whereas Smiley have the looks of Grey that's Why many were liking and loving her in this charachter. 😊 😳 But Now I'm feeling too Sad. 😭 😭

I agree.
Smiley was more apt for the role f Ruku..than this new gal Lavina..
Lavina always opts for completely -ve roles & tht z wht makes me instantaneously hate all the characters she portrays! No offence.

i was going to post same...

old rukaiya was perfect in her role but never liked her acting intialy but she made her presence felt...and new rulkaiya is not looking gray shaded...more like looking cute type...i hope old rukaiyya comes back..! god bless.>!
