I see a lot of people have Tall Poppy Syndrome or crab mentality not just here but all over the social media. It's one thing to critique her singing but there's a lot of nonsensical name-calling.

Kudos to her for being one of the first actresses to dive into the US music market/industry. I'm glad she's singing and doing a pretty decent job of it. Granted her songs are a little flawed here and there, but she's trying to improve and she has. A lot of people who are non-desi really admire and like her. God for her for going on this adventure and she is getting a lot of acclaim as well criticism but taking it so sportingly.

I'm not a big PC fan, but she's effin' hot. And I definitely see her going far. She's on fire right now.

As for the copying accusations, a lot of singers nowadays rely on auto-tune. There's only a select few like Adele, Lana Del Rey, Florence and the Machine, etc that have such powerful voices. Britney made a career from auto-tuning...she was and is a great PERFORMER but not a singer.
