No. I really think he has a soft corner for her. He wouldn't have given that ball thingy otherwise. The reason is Razia. Gaffur might be stern but at the end of the day he listens to his wife. I have this feeling that Shireen has a share in Gaffur's property and it could be the reason he didn't want a second wife in the scenario.
I am not saying he's good at heart. He's a bloody hypocrite to be making snide remarks on Rashid. Rashid at least is guilty but Gaffur is not guilty for helping in a murder.

agree with u ranjini...that scene was serious kickass stuff...a thing or two for other indian serials...aise dialogues agar ho toh ear splitting background music aur weird camera angles ki zaroorat nahi padegi...karan was superlative...is there anybody better than him amongst his peers?...
