Reason? He was plain bored with his character in the show Back to Section Stories

Ranjib Mazumder Kiran Karmarkar It's dj vu time for Kiran Karmarkar as he quits yet another show. After Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, the actor is now bored with his role in Saathi Re and is making a quick exit. After a hiatus, he returned with two projects, Thodi Si Zameen, Thoda Sa Aasmaan and Saathi Re. And like Kahaani…, his character will also die in the show. Says a source, "Kiran took a long time to select his comeback role. He zeroed on Saathi Re, only because producer Sunjoy Wadhwa already has a hit with Saat Phere. He was promised that it will be a pivotal character in the story with good footage. On the contrary, he was getting sidelined in the show. Moreover, the show has not been getting good TRPs since its launch. Kiran had a word with Sunjoyji as he wanted to quit the show on a good note. So, they have mutually decided to kill the character." Kiran Karmarkar, when contacted said, "When I signed the show, I thought it would be a good change from the other shows I have done in the past. But, with each passing day and episode, I have realised that this is just not worth it. Moreover, I am not ready to play a character whose daughters are over 20 years of age! There is nothing new left in the character which can be explored. So, I have spoke to Sunjoy and decided to quit." Sunjoy Wadhwa, when contacted, said, "He knew what his character was going to be in the show. But, there is no bad blood between us."

I think Kiran did the right thing, because his character was going nowhere in the show.

better he leave the show. i dont know what this actor think of himself. when you r ready to take the show, you take it after hearing the story and yr role. here kiran knows what the story is and what his role is. when the serial is base on love story, it is but obvious that father or mother of the lovers has lesser role than the main character. here main characters are suman, rajiv and prem so there is no doubt that suman's parents have lesser role to play after suman's marraige.

then how can u say that "i m not comfortable in playing the 20 year old girl's father"? this is all nonsense.

whats wrong with my post. 😭 when the actor take a role, he knows what the story and what his role is. when kiran took the role, he knew he has to play a father of 20 year old girl and agian when the story is love story, it is very simple to understand that after the marraige of his daughter, story goes around the main characters i.e. suman, rajiv and prem. so it is but obvious that girl's parents have the lesser role in it.

i think kiran think that he is senior so story goes around him. totally nonsense. 😡 better he leave the show.

Now that he may die I think that this will force Suman to see the good in Rajeev and be with him. I guess thai will be good for the show as its TRP is low.

yeah, I agree with you. I don't understand why the characters who are elder think that they can get more than they get, such as Vaishnavi from Ek Ladki Anjani Si's mother Meera, she quit because she wanted younger roles, but they are a little um... unfit for a younger title. People do not get any younger , so I don't understand why they try to get more than they can afford. haha...besides, they are already informed about the history of the show, yet they then don't like it because they expected more, but it's just common sense, but looks like they don't have any...😕
