Rubbish, the whole "desi is the only way to have mazza" bit! I wanted to write/call/email/tweet ASR immediately to tell him he had the wrong guest list. Hum sab ko bulaya hota, Mr. Raizada!! What kind of guests stand around nodding disapprovingly at a performance in a party...never mind that guy who yawned like he was used to Shakira dropping in at all of his. The writing was totally ainveyi (i e, utter crap) and shortchanged our man for no reason whatsoever. He, needless to say, still came out on top... for he looked oh so damn hot through the torture! But come to think of it, this guy, our man, pretty much always carried out the whole rich-arrogant-tycoon vibe completely on his own steam. With no help from settings and scenes when it came to his workspace or at social gatherings. Like he was performing in a vacuum almost, in a separate world of his own...

Horizon! ...love your idea of a separate Gupta style party if Khushi needed the thumkas and the jalebis so badly. The creatives really arm twisted Khushi into being whatever the heck suited them by labeling her "ajeeb"/selfless/pagal, didn't they? Sure, she did it for her sister. But then again, she could've done it differently. All she really needed to do was be by Payalia's side through the evening. Serving random people lassi and jalebi didn't really cut the mustard. Not for me anyway. My heart was going out only to that beautiful man being made to look out-of-sync with the world around him.

And Desi Girl?! Let's not even go there! Let's just say she looked great and danced great...bas.

Kushi Knows Best

He looks and there she is a vision in royal blue. He should be happy to see her but instead his anger flares. She smiles and starts walking over saying thank you for inviting me. He answers he didn't but she passes him and walks right up to NK. ASR is confused and bewildered. NK pulls him over to "introduce" him to his date. Kushi says that she knows he didn't invite her but she couldn't refuse NK. NK says she is so sweet. He is just staring at her. She says the party is so dull but what do you expect from a diabetic who can't have sugar. Kushi knows best but her reasoning makes no sense to me.

She sees her sister who asks her about her sprain and Kushi responds knowing ASR is nearby that she felt better because she had a party and how could she refuse Nanheji? ASR was trying to come but the waiter got in his way baring the brunt of his anger. Kushi and NK say they have to go and do some work and Payal wants to know what she is up too in her "devilish mind"? ASR is just glaring at them.

Kushi and NK are carrying in large boxes, which appear quite heavy, and ladened with things inside. Kushi sees ASR and places her box on top of NK and says she will distract him. Kushi starts a conversation with ASR, she tells him to vent his anger on her she says to say it. He answers, he thought she was crazy before and if she insists he will vent. He starts and she says she has heard enough after all NK has brought in the boxes and everything is ready to go.

Kushi is approached by a man at the party he says to her she signaled him. Nk goes up says she is his date and was signaling him. ASR is watching this confrontation. The men are quarreling over Kushi's attention and ASR observes.

Nk and Kushi are at the bar and start passing out their Desi drinks and fare. The entertainment has begun, the guests seem a little puzzled and bored and Arnav notices. Can the great Arnav Singh Raizada be wrong is a decision?

The party continues with a Desi flair now and people seem to be more animated. I guess Kushi knows best. Arnav notices he calls over a waiter who is clearly nervous he asks him about the drinks and the questions are not answered because the show is about to begin.

Kushi announces out with the new boring stuff and in with the old and familiar! She starts to dance with NK and the guys to the song "Desi Girl!" He is irate. Akash and Payal seem happy. I guess Kushi knows best!

Everyone loved it, NK is smitten and he is annoyed and she just smiles brightly at him!

Akash and Payal are walking outside and he sees she seems cold. He right away shrugs his jacket off him and places it on her. How sweet, chivalry isn't dead! He says to her that Kushi gave them a nice surprise. They both enjoyed the performance immensely. I guess Kushi knew best!

He finally confronts her. He gives NK a voucher for Akash and tells him to give it to him. He knows how to get rid of obstacles and challenges. Kushi goes to leave with NK but ASR says he must be to her. Now she is going to hear it! You can see it in her eyes that she knows he is upset with her but she does her Kushi thing, brushing it off with a smile she says you're welcome before he says thank you. She says you want to thank me for making your party a rocking success.

"Rocking?" He starts his words that will pierce her, he has to this is what ASR does when he too has been hurt and we all know she has hurt him. Why couldn't she let go and let him have his party the way he wanted it. Her overwhelming need to become involved in all things, for thinking she knows best, although I must say she DOES know her sister's demeanor best and didn't want her to be uncomfortable, has caused him to be hurt by her. SOOO…he retaliates like he always does. He puts her in her place.

He says to her for just one moment last night when they spoke he thought just maybe she was upset about her broken engagement and that was making her uncomfortable to be at a party, (interesting insight for him to feel that about her), Just maybe ASR had a low key party because he too had his alliance broke. He felt that having a blast at a party was inappropriate at this time and so he calls her out.

"Are you okay? Do you remember that it was only a week ago that your engagement broke and your making my party rocking and having fun? You really surprise me." She is being reminded of that horrible time again. She answers him, "But your behavior and hurting nature doesn't surprise me. You always talk to me rudely and hurtful and no I didn't forget my broken engagement, I can never forget it. The deception my family faced I will never forget but what I did today was for my sister's happiness. I can forget anything bare anything, for my sister's happiness. But you don't know how to feel that since feelings and emotions have no importance in your life. All you care about is money and power. What do you know of satisfaction and bringing a smile on someone's face? My only crime was bringing fun to this party and by the way as I recall it has been the same number of days since your broken alliance."

He turns away and she says to him what, did I just refresh your memory of your break up? With tears brimming she asks if there is nothing left for you to remind me then can I leave? She turns away from him. It hurts to hurt the one you love.

Does Kushi know best?

NK is waiting outside for her and sees her saddened mood. She asks where her sister is and he says Akash dropped her and he will drop her. She says she will manage. Nk says she can't go alone. ASR agrees he says he will drop her in his car. She answers adamantly, NO! She turns to walk away and NK says you can't go alone it is not safe. ASR walks over Kushi stop this he says and she says to NK she will not go in his car she will call for an auto.

He is upset, you can see it in his eyes.

Kushi knows best.

But, unfortunately post Shyam revelation, post that New Year's party debacle, the woman part of this child- woman started vanishing slowly but surely! That whole bathroom incident was so well conceived. but the way she comes out screeching like a kid was uncalled for. Must say ASR is very patient! And, there was a whole some romance at GH the way he speaks so very gently with Payal and turns to Khushi to exercise that haq on her to speak almost insolently! By this time they knew for sure the other is looking for them, perfect time to build up great romance which ultimately happened most beautifully next few weeks!

I have not written a review from 1-18 I think need to find more time, with the SS and now I am writing a witness for my Spriritual retreat I am running I am not sure if I can be included until epi 18 or so. I will have to see but it does intrigue me. Do you think someone could post the english dubbed version on our thread like Katelyn did so I or other english only speaking blasters attempt to write or is that too much. Thanks to everyone for the joint appreciation to mine and Indi's joint writings on the main post. As Indi mentioned below in her post, we did play a ramanchi. Hope you all didn't mind. 😳 So, when nobody could make out who wrote what, except Ami did partly, there's something else which nobody seemed to have noticed at all. The name poem, it's missing. In its place, there's something else. A word or group of words which became synonymous with each blaster. Hope you all agree with the tags I've given to each blaster. If not, please let me know. 😊 Also, under the links I've added a separate heading and included the links to the thobda poems and also to the Blasters' Takes index. Me and Indi would really love it if anyone else too would want to write something for the main post. It could be the introduction, blast notes or even the welcome poem. Brilliant opening lines. What a coincidence, our 150th episode and the start of the rerun, both on the same day. Telepathy of a different level? Now I feel IPK never left. When it got over in November, was still watching it in Utsav and in Telugu. Then BFTP started, and I was following 3 different epis daily. 2 months later, it got over in Utsav, but I still had 2 versions. And, now it's started all over again. The whole forum is discussing the starting episodes and my mind is again in 3 different levels of IPK.

i wanted to thank all of you for making the opening post a success always and for letting durga and me work without any complaints and cribs. it's our thread... if anyone wants to take over for a while, delighted, if there are any suggestions, do pass.

i would also like to add, please keep doing analyses and collages and other things that we do around episodes, though the likes say only 19-22, there are people who read this thread regularly and some receive immense pleasure from it... i picked this up somewhere and wanted to share because i was kinda touched.

arshi, love your analytical take on what asr can and can't do and what love does to us. you always rush across collages and articles in the middle of your heavy schedule, truly absolutely appreciated. after the post for new thread goes out, i knowyours will be the first reply, usually with anew something or the other... this is so good of you.
