Kumud never really loved Saras as deeply as she is supposed to. When you really love someone and have not heard from him for two days you:

worry why is that so;
ask him how he is why he did not ring
try to understand his dilemna when he tells you he is a 'zinda las'
do not stop others from finding what is wrong;
do not hurry into another marriage;
forget your ego.

burning all his memories, is not the act of someone whom you have loved unconditionaly. That part was OTT.

Agree, I think it was more like Saras feeling bad for rejecting her and trying his best to make her happy and overcome his guilt. He felt guilty because he is basically a nice guy.

When Saras finally proposed to Kumud it was more like -Finally you realized my worth and I get what I want.

A person cannot give her 100% in infactuation
only devotion and true love can bring you down to submission
Kumud gave her 100% to this relationship..so does Saras
its just that they both fail to pass the last hurdle of their love.
both reacted on impulse and now will repent for the time to come.
their one mistake cannot extinguish the love they once felt ignited in their hearts
and only future story will tell
that it was not infactuation but true love
you cannot judge a person when he reacts in anger
dont do the same mistake which Samud did in understanding each other.
their love is eternal and time will prove that

Bit early to judge don't you think? You want them to be happily married and forget everything? This is meant to be a tragic love story. The greatness will come later.

Nor is it infatuation btw :) a very wrong term to use.
