| | | Kid-snapping: Iqbal Khan with his nephew Adil | Don't cross the road," screams television actor Iqbal Khan, as his four-year-old nephew Adil tries to run across the road in Lokhandwala. Iqbal Khan, who has quit Balaji is having a gala time with his family now. His sister has flown down from Australia with her two kids, Adil and Sarah to attend Iqbal's wedding in January. The actor is getting married on January 15 and is throwing a party for his close friends and family members on the next day. Currently, he is busy attending to Adil and Sarah. Iqbal says, "Adil calls me Iqqu mamu, and I am very fond of him. He is born and brought up in Australia and speaks with an accent that can give Salman Khan a run for his money."
"Mamu you are strong like Krrish," says Adil, as Iqbal takes him to a local DVD parlour. Iqbal adds, "He is a smart kid and calls me Krrish, so that I don't yell at him for running across the road. He loves those power rangers and cartoon films, so I often take him to this DVD store. I hardly get time to play with or pamper them, so whenever I am with them, I spoil them. Sarah is very reserved, but Adil is pucca badmash! He is fond of me. When I shout at him, he never cries. Instead, he sits in a corner and sulks. If someone asks him what happened, he says in his Australian accent, 'Hum aap se naraz hai, humme akela chhod dijiye!'"
Incidentally, Adil and Sarah are also fond of Iqbal's fiance Sneha. "Do they have a choice?" laughs Iqbal. "Actually, they are too young to understand what's happening around them. They are busy playing, and are happy about the fact that their 'Sneha aunty' is going to stay with them," he explains. The actor was seen walking along Lokhandwala toy stores with Adil. "He loves toys and so does Sarah. I always buy them whatever they want. I know that I am spoiling them, but I love it," he says.
Iqbal is all set to walk the aisle, so does that make him a nervous man? "Nervous?" he quips. "Not actually, I am excited. I am looking forward to be with Sneha, inshaallah!" |
