She demonstrates this hold right from the point when, as I have described in my post of last night, she makes Jalal follow her with his eyes till she is in view on the terrace, and again when he makes a beeline for her apartment as soon as he reaches the palace.

By avoiding all ostentation, while still looking spare and elegant, she wants to show the rest that she does not need to do any sajna savarna, or look like a decorated Christmas tree to gain and retain the emperor's attention and his regard.

It is, to my mind, a deliberate, and successful put down of the rest.

I am totally in favour of that beauty which exists in elegance😳

But its the quality that could have been better

RB's dress & ornaments just looked tacky to me 🤢

Well, I have followed bits & pieces of Ekta's shows in the past & I guess I mostly never paid too much attention to how the way the characters dress on it. Although, what u're saying is reminding me of Purvi's pretty bad dressing in Pavitra Rishta😔. Her blouses don't even match w/her saris sometimes & she seems to wear the same blouse w/different saris as well.

Rukaiya, I would say perfectly cast and beautifully portrayed by Smiley. The character oozes confidence, and in a very non vampy way. Still, as u said, something is amiss, and i agree its the costume, not the jewellery. I felt she was clumsily dressed. I think this may be deliberately done as to show, that she is Akbar's favorite, no matter how she is dressed.

I have seen a lot of clumsiness in the episodes from the very beginning. Generally, the starting episodes are always most flawlessly shot so as to garner more following, wonder why are they so reluctant.

Not to compare, but whenever we see some different historical shows, now in air,(not taking name, but guess which😆), JA does come a lot behind in many aspects, the most important being the FINISH. The editing is very clumsy.

I hope everything improves by time. This can be a very great show, dont screw it. A humble request.😊
