Meera keeps on crying and refuses to commit anything to Alaka. Alaka tells her that Meera has to agree to this marriage as this is the best option for her and that the family is good. She will be happy and if she refuses then it would eman that she doesn't want to honour her promise in spite of being Rajeshwari Devi's grand daughter. Meera still doesn't say anything. Alaka then starts black mailing her emotionally and says that if Meera doesn't agree to this marriage, then Alaka would leave the Bharadwaj House and go to a widow rehab centre. She picks her copy of Gita and tries to go away. Meera stops her and tells her that she will get married to Veer if it means that Alaka will be happy. She asked Alaka that why did she not tell her about this previously as she is very well aware that Alaka must be doing all this on someone else's behest. Meera tells Alaka that the thing that ahs hurt her the most is the fact that while one person in the house had not fulfilled her promise, another person had given her a promise to do soemthign that she didn't want. She goes away.
Meera goes to Ammaji who's sitting in her room and sits by her on the ground. She takes Ammaji's hand in her hads and then asks her that although Meera was Ammaji's darling in the household, why did she chose such a path and send her Mother to make her say yes to the marriage? She cousl have herself told Meera and Meera would still have said Yes. Meera then goes away to Abhi's room who on hearing all this is extremely upset. He asks Meera how could she agree to the marriage when they had given words to each other that they would fulfil all their dreams together. Meera tells Abhi that although Abhi will hate her fot his, yet she had no other option cos she loved her Mother a lot and had promised her about this alliance.
The next day everyone is busy. A parcel come sin Suli's name. Alaka receives it from the person and is taking it to Suli's room. Ira stops her from doing so and later and questions Alaka about the contents of the package. At that moment Suli comes and takes the package rom Alaka. The packet contains a box filled with bangles for the marriage. Alaka is happy but Ira tells Suli that the bangles can never be used for Meera'a marriage because a widow (Alaka) had already touched it. Ira asks Alaka to stay away from the marriage preparations. Ammaji hears all this as a teary Alaka rushes away from that area.
Yash stops Alaka and acknowledges his admiration for Alaka for being a great lady and for always putting the fmily's honour and integrity before everything, even herself. After Yash goes, Alaka breaks down crying and Ammaji sees her from a distcne.
The Groom's family had reached the next morning. They are seated and Alaka is very happy to see them. She goes and stands beside Ammaji. A short while later, Meera comes down from the stairs and sits with the people.
