Coming back to ur topic, I used to be like u when I used to watch DID and Nach Baliye earlier seasons...But, even DID lately especially after the seasons after Dharmesh and Shakti didn't have a lot of dancing! It was all about going up in the air, robotics and just gimmicks...DID has disappointed me in the later seasons, but I don't think that the contestants should be blamed for that..I feel the fault lies in the choreographers and the judges themselves..Even DID means Dance Indian Dance but I see less of dance than before, so I don't blame all these contestants who do ariel acts, ring acts..

This is my first season of JDJ I am watching, and yes I feel that the choreographers should focus just on pure dance, and the judges should fairly judge on that...When I see the dance shows here in the U.S., our dance reality shows feels really like crap to me..sorry to say that...but what our dance reality shows are, they don't even come 1% close to the American dance shows...I just wish all these film promotions on every reality show should stop!! And, judges sitting there who are getting huge amount of money should do their work sincerely otherwise Indians should stop making these kind of shows..

Exactly. I also think it's the choreographers fault. Of course I don't blame the contestants themselves.

I also watch American dance shows like DWTS and that is also why I feel this way. Since JDJ is based off of DWTS, I think it's fair that we compare the two but JDJ is no where near the level of DWTS.

I also think as we get into more and more seasons, we are diverting even more from pure dance. I remember in the beginning seasons, the choreographers were given many international and professional dance styles to try. They weren't perfectly done but at least we got to see a lot of good variety and attempts and DANCEEE. Now I feel so many of the performances are in contemporary, bollywood, or freestyle forms.

I was gonna sat something like this, but its better that you as the TM did. Why drag someone's name in when they haven't got anything to do with it.

On your topic I will agree that gimmick have now wowed the judges more than actual dancing. It about the props, the lifts, what extra thing you can bring rather than the dance itself. When I was watching I think muktis dance when though I loved it. The sequence of her lists from in his shoulders was predicable. As we have seen it 1000 times before. I'm not saying it wasn't good but we need something new.

Don't start me on the hosting and side bits of this show, you won't keep me quiet.
