BMC to drop inquiry against SRK!!

The BMC has decided not to pursue the complaint against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan accusing him of getting a sex determination test on his third child.

Sources say the civic body was satisfied with the actor's explaination that as the baby boy was born a month ago, the question of sex determination did not arise as the complaint was filed in the middle of June. The actor also said he knew the child's sex after he was born and he was three weeks old when the media report came out.

A senior civic official confirmed receiving the reply from the actor, which the BMC found satisfactory. "We will not conduct a further inquiry," said the official.

The BMC received a birth certificate with details that a baby boy was born on May 27 to parents listed as Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. The child was born in the 34th week of pregnancy and weighed 1.5 kg at birth. The baby was then taken to Breach Candy Hospital from where he was discharged earlier this week.

On June 14, a section of the press reported that the actor would have a baby boy through a surrogate mother. The baby was due in July. Following the report, the radiologist association picked on the report and wrote to the state government, which in turn directed the BMC to conduct an inquiry on how the actor managed to get a sex determination done. The test is banned in India.The BMC made two visits to the actor's home to conduct an inquiry, but SRK wasn't available both times.
