Chapter 28

Manyta sat in the dressing room, dressed in a red and white choli, staring at the mirror in front of her, she saw a beautiful girl, a princess in front of her- her face was smiling, her cheeks were rosy, the eyes were beautiful, but they missed a sparkle. Of course how can you expect to be happy when your mind is crying, isn't your eyes the window to your soul??

She was getting engaged today- it should have been the happiest day of her life, but it wasn't. It was like a business deal, between her family and adhiraj's family. Adhi was a good person, he was always loving towards her. But she feared love- for love gave her only pain. Her first love- uday had cheated her, and she could never forgive him for that. She tried to move on, but failed miserably, everytime she closed her eyes she saw uday's smiling face, his tender kisses. She would end up blushing, but that made her irritated. She muttered" I must move on, I must forget uday, I need a new life" like a mantra but then she was broken beyond repair.

When her DS brought this alliance, she had asked her if she liked the boy, Manyta nodded her head. It was for the sake of her family that she agreed to this alliance. She thought maybe when she became his wife maybe, she could forget her past that haunted her. Again like a yuvarani, she listened to her brain and deided to move on. But her heart craved for just one person, that person for whom she had given her body and soul to. The person who tried to kill her and ended falling in love with her- udayveer.

If he was just uday, just an ordinary man, without any masked identity she would have married him, they could have had a beautiful future together. She loved him then, with her heart and soul, but now, she wanted to move on. And it's proving pretty tough for her

As she descended down the stairs, along with her sister jainandini, manyta put a smiling face. She walked with the elegance of a yuvarani, and gracefully ascended the raised podium where adiraj was standing, grinning at her, she managed to give him a smile

As they exchanged rings, manyta's heart cried "no, you don't have to it" outside she smiled, as he pulled her to kiss her on her cheeks she shivered out of fear, her heart loathed his touch. Throughout the evening she felt out of place, it was like she was forced to act a part she hated but she tried to calm her by saying, "it's ok you can do it, adhi is your future you need to accept it"

Uday was standing on the balcony of his penthouse, "how could she do this to him? was his love so weak?" he looked down and saw manyta standing there with adhi, talking to each other, he wanted to talk to her now. He ran out of his room and to the elevator, but then he couldn't wait till the elevator opened and so he ran, he ran 10 flights of stairs, without pausing for even for a breath. He could feel, cramps forming in his legs, but he chose to ignore it. as she reached the ground floor he was tired beyond belief, but he did not stop, he ran outside only to see manyta and adhi leave in a car…

He sat on the ground and buried his head in his hands. "Why god? Why? He reformed for her and now she is going to be another person's wife? No he would not allow it to happen. Uday had never accepted defeat till now and he will never accept it again

Sitting in the restaurant with adhi, mnayta managed to smile.

A: hey baby, didn't you love yesterday's night? I loved it man, I just cant wait to get married to you, my love

Manyta just smiles, adhi place his hand on her thighs and start to move it seductively. Manyta cringes but adhi mistook it as if she was enjoying his touch.

A: you are so soft baby, how about going out for a pre marriage honeymoon

He said winking at her.

M: eh, adhi, I just feel its not correct, we could wait na, atleast till our marriage.

A: I wont mind even if we cheat a bit

M: for me, please lets wait na… she said hoping that he would stop these sort of talks with her.

He took her left hand and looked at the ring he had put yesterday. He touches it and said" you are only mine baby, only mine"

Mnayta eyes suddenly caught a pair of brown eyes staring at her, her heart skipped a beat. Those eyes showed how hurt they were, those eyes were scanning her, uday was staring at her sitting at the furthest corner of the restaurant. Uday!! What was he doing here? Her heart scremed her to leave adhi and rush towards uday, but she did not. She looked into adhi's eyes and told

M: even I love you adhi, and this ring should show the world that I belong to you

She said those words loud for uday to hear, but It was actually for her heart to hear.she wanted to reassure her that she can move on in her life.

Uday looked at the couple with so much hatred that he felt they could feel it physically too. He looked down and thought what his doctor had told him" control, don't let the situation bug you. Don't ever lose control or the consequences can be really bad"

He just left that place, and manyta sighed out of relief

Manyta spend some more time with adhi and then they left, manyta was getting into her car when uday stopped her, he had appeared out of nowhere. Manyta was shocked to see uday . she thought he had left. She sis not know what to say

M: uday what do you want?

U: I want to talk to you, please

M: there is nothing left to talk uday.

U: and why is that so manyta?

M: move uday… I wont to talk to you

U: answer me princess

Manyta stopped a moment hearing "princess" but then recovered soon

m:uday i said move, just move away from me

u: just give me a chance to speak please

m: i don't want to hear anything, now let me go

u: do you love him?

m:yes, I am getting married to him uday

u: manyta, cried uday as if a sword was pierced through him

m: uday i will kill you if you don't move away from the car this minute

u: ok then run me down. Saying that he moved at stood a 5 feet away in front of the car

manyta released the hand brake and the car sped forward, uday did not move, manyta tried to steer the car away from him, but the car hit uday with such force that he was thrown away some 10 feet away

m: uday!!! Screamed manyta as she got out of the car and ran to him, his face was covered with blood.

m: uday wake up, please, wake up please..

but uday lay unconscious... his face was bloody but peaceful

manyta didn't know what to do. Seeing uday so helpless brought her hidden feeling out

Uday was unconscious for some 2 hours, manyta sat outside the ICU where uday was kept for observation.

Atlast the doctor came out and manyta asked "how is he, doctor?"

Dr: he is not conscious till now, he has hit his head bad. His wounds are not deep, it will get healed in a week or so. But he can suffer from memory loss, he could even lose the sense of hearing or could be paralyzed, its difficult to say, but we need him to wake up first. Then only we can understand the extent of the damge. Lets hope for the best

M: thanks doctor, can I see him

Dr: sure

Manyata entered the ICU and saw uday lying there, there was just a small bandage on his forehead

M: forgive me uday

Said manyta, holding his right hand in hers. He then kissed that hand

M: wake up soon uday, we need you back, I need you back😭
