Bakhtyaar Irani and Tanaaz Lal
You've watched them perform on television, now you can gear up for a live performance up, close and personal.

From wedding sangeets to mall openings, Tanaaz Lal and Bakhtyaar Irani have taken their performance anxiety out of the studios and into the open.

A source reveals that the couple has been raking in moolah close to Rs 50-75,000 for their private performances.

So much drama!

When asked, Bakhtyaar doesn't deny the couple's new stint. "What's the harm? If Shah Rukh Khan can go to Dubai and perform, why can't I go to Goa and dance at a wedding? I think it's perfectly cool to cash in on our success and the amazing response we've got post Nach Baliye 2."

What started off as a New Year's Eve performance at a resort in Igatpuri soon became a regular feature with the couple being flooded with offers to do mall openings and even attend weddings.

Says Bakhtyaar, "I was totally floored by the response we got. My biggest fanbase is children, and they were thrilled to see us. We were initially asked to perform four songs for 20 minutes, but I thought, 'Let's do a full-fledged show that runs over an hour'."

Working closely with their choreographer Mini, the couple even did an act with complete dramatics. "I get lots of requests to perform to Hrithik Roshan's songs. So we have the Crazy kiya re track and some other songs as well. I have an entry where I break glass and come on stage. It's almost like watching a movie sequence."

Cashing in

Talking about performing at weddings, Irani says, "We have two-three weddings lined up this month. Next month, we've been called to Ghaziabad for a Valentine's Day show. Recently, I also went to Delhi for some mall openings, and in late February, we plan to perform in Hong Kong."

When asked about his performance fees, Bakhtyaar says, "It can be anywhere between Rs 40-50,000. It depends from person to person. We offer a package deal to those who can block us for two or more events."

The actor doesn't shy away from admitting that he wants to make money while he's in demand. "Of course, I want to capitalise on what the show has given us. We also want to recover the Nach Baliye prize money we lost out on. I was flooded with calls after we got voted out and that totally moved me."

On the television front, he's excited about his show Arranged Marriage. "I quite enjoyed working on the show and hope the audience has fun too."
