Akshay Kumar will once again be seen in what he is best known for: an
action film

Akshay Kumar is all set to make a comeback in his action avatar in
Rohan Sippy's next film to be directed by Shridhar Raghvan. Akshay
was last seen in an action flick in Anil Sharma's Ab Tumhare Hawale
Watan Saathiyo in 2004. Akshay had committed to do the film early
next year which means he will be seen in an action flick after a good
four years.
Rohan Sippy, producer of the film, informs, "I think this is an ideal
film for Akshay and Shridhar wrote the script keeping Akshay in mind.
Shridhar is good friend of his and thankfully he also loved the film
and is keen to do the film with us. Akshay is one of the most
talented and prolific actors today and we are looking forward to
working with him. The film is yet to be titled and since it will be
starting next year, the rest of the details are yet to be finalised."
Akshay had told Mumbai Mirror in an interview last week, "To be
honest it is great to be stuck to where you are successful and do the
kind of films which work at the box-office. This temptation is always
there. Like the Khiladi series were all successful films except one
or two. I made the mistake of getting stuck in an action image. In
between I did negative roles, some romantic films, and I have just
finished three to four comedy films.
"I don't want to repeat the mistake I had made earlier and that is
why I am working with a set of new directors. In fact, I have three
films lined up, all in different genres and I loved their ideas and
the way they want to treat their films visually."
