Lauren and Punit - Overhyped much?

I made a similar post last time Lauren and Punit performed and not to be repetitive but it gets slightly frustrating when you see obvious favoritism going on.

Lauren is an amazing dancer, no doubt there!

But the fact here is she is already a PROFESSIONAL. If your going to bring a professional dancer on a show for non-dancers - than you cannot compare her at the same standard as everyone else. She needs to be judged per her caliber. While Lauren and Punit's performances have been good - they rely mostly on the emotion and a few whimsical tricks like Lauren's ballet spins or the horror or emotional theme. I am not a dancer so don't have much knowledge but feels like they could do much better. In fact I feel Shaan and Drashti are doing same level of performance as Lauren at this point...

What is REALLY aggravating is how Remo is so obviously showing his favoritism for Lauren. Every episode he stands up and gives a 'This is it'. If your giving a 'this is it' every week - then there's something really wrong with the picture. Either she's too good for the show - or else your overhyping her. And I'm going to go with the second option on this one.

I like Lauren and punit but they also need to be pulled up on their flaws. Lauren is fab but like anyone has room for improvement even professionals and Lauren I'm sure is professional enough to take those comments on board.

Firstly its not a dancing show for 'non dancers'... its dancing wih celeb.. (as probably a lot of members have repeated in many topics) 😃 Everyone accepted the offer so they shud knw there will b different level of dancers... Secondly I dont think they r over hyped at all.. not as much as other colors dolls are (for obvious reasons.. even the channel gets benefit doing so) 😃 I think that Shaan has improved but not the best dancer yet... and as for DD... i will say something on her.. the day she does dance and leaves stunts 😃

I am a lauren fan .. but I also see Remo's favoritism towards his students .. last year also he said 'This is it" to almost all the acts of Isha and salaman.. and this year for lauren .. In a way they are doing better than the other contestants .. But I am not happy with the way they are giving marks to all the contestants .. getting 24 is very easy .. so considering that Lauren getting 30 is fair ..

Agree with you .👍🏼 @ bold .. I dont know why we keep talking about JDJ as a show for non dancers ..

Overhyped?? No ..they are not overhyped and also think remo is not showing any kind of favrotism.. Lauren's standard is comparitivly very high and all her performance except the wheels theme week deservd 30 ..there first perf on bezubaan is my favrt of hers though..

Don't know about Lauren and Punit ... Their performances are worth praising ... It's not like they aren't, but Tusshar is definitely overhyped. 😆

i dpn't think they are over hyped much . they are giving their best and consequently fetching whooping scores . if you consider some other couple to be over hyped then i would say it's only Salshti , who despite giving run-of the mill performances , get 30 marks or above 27..
