The actor launches a website to clarify details of his court cases
Salman Khan may be in the news again for the wrong reasons, but at least the actor is out to ensure that the news should not be factually incorrect. Post his plea being rejected in context of his hit-and-run case, Salman has launched a website dedicated to his court caThe site has details about all the legal proceedings currently underway against the actor. The site salmankhanfiles.com apparently has been created to ensure that there is no incorrect reportage against the actor.
The home page of the website reads, "Certain court cases are filed against me. There is widespread media reporting of these cases. The reports are sometimes inaccurate and misleading, and cause damage to my reputation, both professional and personal. I have been advised to put up this website to provide easily accessible factual information about the ongoing status of these cases. The website will be updated by my advocates from time to time. It will not contain any information about the merits of any case, nor any comments. I encourage all those who are interested in knowing about these cases, particularly the media, to verify facts available on this website. I have the greatest respect for the law, the judiciary and the legal process. Nothing on this website is intended to influence anyone, the sole purpose being to present the facts, and status of the cases I am involved in."ses.
Salman has initiated a website www.salmankhanfiles.com that is being regularly updated by his group of legal eagles, who are serving as an interface between the star and his fans.
The blog quotes the actor stating how he wants people to be aware of the know-hows of the "many court cases" filed against him. It reads, "...The reports are sometimes inaccurate, misleading, and cause damage to my reputation, both profession and personal. I have been advised to put up this website, to provide easily accessible factual information..."
Incidentally, just like fellow actor Sanjay Dutt, Salman too states on his website, "I have the greatest respect for the law, judiciary and the legal process." According to the actor, his blog even suggests that those interested in knowing further about his court cases can "verify facts available on this website." A source close to Khan says, "Yes, the website has been initiated by him. The disclaimer is sufficient enough to let people know the intention behind the website."
