as for me being in daler's category😆 no plz... i have my own category😆 coz i don blindly support anyone, even if it is daler paaji - he might be a successful singer, and he is right in scolding the contestants, but i dont agree with every comment of his - as for example when he compared vidhaan with sonu nigam on his "tirchi nigahen" performance - that was a shame...
chill..let\'s nt make this a personal issue. U R entitled to ur own opinion@ small wonder. I personally think it is presumptious of anyone to say who does or doesn't possess "sur". Every genre of music has its own intricacies and requirements. As you mentioned urself, Opera and Rock are types of music that don't appeal to everyone, same applies to classical and even bollywood music. But every one of those genres requires a certain type of talent, expertise and know-how. So please don't make this a universal thing.
As for Daler, let's not forget, the man comes from a very different background, and has his own ideologies about what "sur" and "music" should be. We must respect that and accept it. Therefore we must understand his limitations as a judge too, he is not capable of judging something that he is not aware of. Furthermore, Daler seems to have a very dominating personality wherein he needs to have the last word in everything, so be it.
As for him critisizing Aditya's sur, I will agree in the previous galas, he has not been performing well..point taken. However, he has shown tremendous improvement in the past 2 galas and he deserves due credit for it.
As for Aditya singing bollywood songs, he brings his own flair and originality to it. Who are we to say if he is right or wrong in that? For instance, fusion music is all the range both in India and in the West, now people who appreciate pure desi music (classical etc) may not appreciate it. That's their choice, doesn't make the music bad...does it? Those who like it will appreciate it, those who don't wont. It's as simple as that.
