as for me being in daler's category😆 no plz... i have my own category😆 coz i don blindly support anyone, even if it is daler paaji - he might be a successful singer, and he is right in scolding the contestants, but i dont agree with every comment of his - as for example when he compared vidhaan with sonu nigam on his "tirchi nigahen" performance - that was a shame...

chill..let\'s nt make this a personal issue. U R entitled to ur own opinion@ small wonder. I personally think it is presumptious of anyone to say who does or doesn't possess "sur". Every genre of music has its own intricacies and requirements. As you mentioned urself, Opera and Rock are types of music that don't appeal to everyone, same applies to classical and even bollywood music. But every one of those genres requires a certain type of talent, expertise and know-how. So please don't make this a universal thing.

As for Daler, let's not forget, the man comes from a very different background, and has his own ideologies about what "sur" and "music" should be. We must respect that and accept it. Therefore we must understand his limitations as a judge too, he is not capable of judging something that he is not aware of. Furthermore, Daler seems to have a very dominating personality wherein he needs to have the last word in everything, so be it.

As for him critisizing Aditya's sur, I will agree in the previous galas, he has not been performing well..point taken. However, he has shown tremendous improvement in the past 2 galas and he deserves due credit for it.

As for Aditya singing bollywood songs, he brings his own flair and originality to it. Who are we to say if he is right or wrong in that? For instance, fusion music is all the range both in India and in the West, now people who appreciate pure desi music (classical etc) may not appreciate it. That's their choice, doesn't make the music bad...does it? Those who like it will appreciate it, those who don't wont. It's as simple as that.

hey dear... i have commented on the "sur" aspect... agreed, erock and opera will have its own intricacies - one requires a funky attitude, the other a high pitched voice, but none of those requires "sur"... that was the point i was making when i refute palash's statement...

haha! ur telling me rock, opera don't require "sur" whcih world do u live in buiddy?

Yes rock focuses on power more than fine notes, it still requires "sur". Rock isn't all about screaming...ridiculous.

Yup, this is the approach that we take...let us not put any one down ...as it takes a lion's heart to get on the stage and perform...no hard feelings but anyone should be criticized on the performance and not the personality right?

then i will say that Adi did not sing Dil Chahta hai in Cafe round...but his other performance was absolute delight and Its my life was killer man...of course this is my opinion...and having known Adi for quiet some time now...I know he is not besura...but there are times when everyone goes out of tune...Hindi vocals is an uncharted territory for him...and I know the improvement that he has made from the first round...I can say this that he is the most imroved candidate in the academy...other candidates are still the same...Rehan is still the best in Hindi vocals....His Omkara was terrific but was his stage performance flawless? No....every candidate has got his strengths and weaknesses...I agree that the winner should be a good singer...but this format is not for the best singer but...a good singer who is the best entertainer....

I believe that Adi is doing all his fans proud....even if he is not in the academy...he will sure be entertaining all of us...

waise smallwonder bhai...i hope that some day you can attend one of Adi's concerts ...i hope that might change something...

cheers

I quite agree with you esp. when you have to involve the audience along with you.

Who says that intricacies of SUR are not required while singing Rock/English songs? Me thinks you have never seen Amercian Idol? Adi was flawless in Meter down performance Even when he yelled he was in Sur. But he sounded weaker in the Cafe round. I am not a keen Fame X watcher but since I had seen last few episodes I thought of posting my views.
