As to giving Ekta credit, that is my choice too...and please tell me at which point of the show the behaviour of any of these characters are justified by the makers...they are merely reflecting life...it is left to you to draw your inferences...if you are talking about characters justifying their actions, even an axe murderer is given a chance to present his case, right or wrong...such is our judicial system...what may be right to you may not so to me and vice versa...just like this post...but like you have countered my pov and I have given you at response, people do have a right to explain themselves...

So if Archana takes pride in Purvi, it is her right...and if she feels betrayed by her daughter then that is her right too...don't all parents like to think of their children as model citizens...what's the big deal?

And if being non-judgmental is the reason why the world is what it is today, I wonder what kind of a world we would be living in if the world became judgmental!

Finally, in saying that you cannot condone what Purvi did because you cannot imagine doing it, you are making a dangerous implication...that people who understand Purvi do so because they have done what she did...If that is not being judgmental, I don't know what is...Accepting people with their warts and imperfections is one thing...and identifying their actions as model behaviour is another!

All her shows are like this, the only difference is that the lead is normally not the villain unlike in PR.

First of all, you are warning others not to be judgemental and your post is highly judgemental.

Furthermore, you are stating that viewers are looking for moral science classes in a show? That is highly opinionated, insulting and completely wrong in your perception and of course highly judgemental. All the viewers here, I am sure are over 18 and would have been socialised some time ago in what is wrong or right. that is why they can give their opinion on the show in the first place.😆

viewers are only criticising what they see in the characters according to what they feel is wrong or right. That is what people do when they watch any show or movie. Most people relate to the good guy and don't like the bad guy. That is why it is called entertainment, we entertain ourselves by applying our frame reference, what else would we use?

If you have been to the movies, you must have heard patrons, make disgusted comment or made some disapproval sound at the villain.

I don't know about you, but I don't know how to think fictionally and have a fictional value system, just to agree with Purvi or any other villain for that matter and make others feel good with me that I am not judgemental.

Are you saying that we must watch shows and not give our true and honest opinion about it? so why are we on this forum then? Also, no one expects ideal relationships on shows, the problem is the negative relationships are not being portrayed that way, they are being exalted as good. For example, Archana boasting about Purvi's sanskaars.

I believe you are missing the point of why viewers are making their posts.

Are you saying we must see Purvi's behaviour and not comment on what we think of it, because no one is perfect? Well, how about those forum members who would never do what Purvi did, should we post congratulations for something we can't relate to? What purpose would that serve? That we might one day do what she did? Well those who speak out against Purvi don't believe in what she is doing, cannot relate and don't see themselves going down that road of behaviour worse saying we are doing good deeds.

So, call it being judgemental, but all those who are disgusted with Villains such as Purvi, are obviously speaking against her because they can't relate, that is they have not done all the things she has done. Otherwise, we would have supported her all the way.

Stating that in the real world worse is happening and why do we expect ideal on tv is irrelevant, because no one ever said they want ideal on screen. The problem is that wrong behaviour is being passed off on PR as ideal.

Last but not least, it is the same dismissal of incorrect behaviour, that you are telling us to do, that has made the outside world you speak of, become this evil. It all starts somewhere.
