sia is too irritating and I would not be able to take her "rona-dhona" for Sid all over again, not that Sid is good either.

I have not missed a single episode of Astitva and I can't remember Baby Astha tying raki to Sonu.
The rakhi scene was with Anandi's son and Astha.
Sonu would be at Simran's for all festivals but I can't recall any rakhi or Bhai dhooj scene between them.

Anyone with a better memory? Sree do you remember what really happened?

Wahwa don't get me wrong,not that I don't trust you but you mentioned that you started watching the show only after Abhi-Neha's marriage.

Also friends,I am not very sure about this rakhi custom.Hailing from Maharashtra/Karnataka,Bhai Dhooj/Bhau Beej has more significance to me.
I was once told that A rakhi was tied to anyone who could protect you from harm. The custom started during the wars between the moghuls and rajputs.It was done to protect the Rajput women when their husbands went out to war.It gradually became relevant with a sister-brother relationship.
Could someone please enlighten me on this?

Yes Wahwa,absolutely.If Sonu was shown to have tied a rakhi then the director would think about it now,because as it stands today this rakhi represents the bond between a brother and sister.Sinha is a sensitive and intelligent director,won't overlook this

I can understand the discomfort of some viewers watching the Sia -Abhi relationship,but I NEVER felt that way because I understood well that only WE knew the real relationship and having watched Ajai Sinha's othet serials,knew what to expect,I suppose.If they had shown even a hint of Abhi's interest in her,I would have found it repulsive,but since they didn't,I was ok with the story. The Indian audience is not ready for such incest relationships on screen(not that it is permissible in any culture)so Ajai Sinha would not have dared to tread in this forbidden area.

Also being a student of Psychology,I have studied about Oedipus complex (for boys) and Electra complex for girls.Kids in a normal environment outgrow such feelings.Do not wish to discuss this in detail as it's irrelevant and has young readers.

I think Sia is already falling fast for Sid. I've noticed, and apparently so has Aastha, that they exclude her and do almost everything together. Sia is well aware of Sid's feelings for her, and it's completely natural that she would have feelings for him as well.

And another thing- Sid was really surprised and happy when he found out that Sia was his childhood dost. But werent him and Aastha childhood friends as well? Or did Manas take Sid to America before she was born? On the first episode when they showed the 18-year leap, it seemed as though Aastha and Sid had known each other for more than just a couple of years. And Sid seemed to have an immediate attraction to Sia as soon as he met her, as opposed to seeing Aastha almost regularly.

sid grew up in the usa .. he only came to india 4/5 years ago to look for urmila....so sid and asthu were not childhood friends, though they did become great friends in the last 4/5 yrs

i dont think she will leave him as she has the habit of interfering and messing things up
