Zarina Wahab defends son Suraj Pancholi

Despite being busy with her shoots, Suraj Pancholi's mother Zarina Wahab has ensured she is at his side and has taken charge of handling his public image as well as helping sort out the mess he is in.

Being a mother to a daughter herself (Suraj's sister Sana), Zarina says she knows what Jiah's mother Rabiya is going through and can totally understand her condition. BUT… Zee says she also knows her own son better than anyone else! In her words, "The truth will come out. I also know what my son is capable of doing and the behaviour I hear being attributed to him is not like my son at all."

Apparently it has been decided that from now on, Zarina will accompany Suraj to everything related to his arrest. Buzz is that the Pancholi family was advised to get Suraj anticipatory bail but they brushed this off. The reason being, as Zarina says, "Obviously, we didn't anticipate how important it was for some people to make a villain out of him."

She concluded emotionally that her prayers are with Jiah but one thing she guarantees is – Suraj is the best son any mother can hope for. After his arrest for abetting Jiah's suicide, Suraj is currently in police custody until 13 June.
