Arnav panicked looked at her who was sobbing and her whole body shaking, he just want to grab her in an embrace and drain out all her worries from her but he was keeping his words, he closed his eyes painfully as his fingers dig in his palms

"I am sorry" It was barely audible, he opened his eyes to look at her confused

"What?" He asked not getting what she said

"I … I am …. Sorry, I misunderstood you and I ….." She hide her face in her hands weeping

To hell with keeping words, Arnav can never see her crying, Coming to her he knelt down in front of her

"No Khushi, please don't cry, there is nothing to be sorry"

Sniffing she shook her head as she removed hands from her face,

"No I am very bad … I …."

"Ssshh" Arnav didn't let her speak, "Never use the word bad for you, you are the one amazing girl I ever met"

Forgetting cry, Khushi stared him, Arnav smiled at her and sniffing again she asked in a low voice

"So … so we're still friends and …. and not just the class mates?"

Arnav smiled at how innocently she asked it from him, "No" next moment he turned serious while Khushi held her breath

"No …. I … I can understand how you can allow me to be your friend after ….." She once again starts sobbing before she could complete he stopped her

"Sshh, Khushi I was saying, no we are not just class mates, we are friends and we will remain friends no matter what"

"I … that night I got a message whi …." Once again he cut her

"Khushi we will not talk about that night again" To which she shook her head

"No you need to know, and you have to listen to me" She said in such an authoritative manner that Arnav could not help his smile

"The message was apparently from you with something that you want to tell me something important regarding my family, I went to the department, I was calling you when Rishi came and he said that you send him here and then he said that he can have fun ti ….." Her voice chocked and Arnav clenched his fists

"Khushi stop it, nothing has happened and nothing will happen to you till I'm alive" Hesitantly holding her hand he said while Khushi stared at him lost in his words

There Lavanya and Mayank were staring them with wide eyes

"Mayank can you see what I …."

"Yes, these two dumb are in love with each other" Mayank shook his head desperately

"Now what?" Lavanya asked as silently closing the door she turned to him

"Nothing, we can just pray that they can confess it to each other" Mayank shrugging his shoulders fall on the bed

"But there could be something which we can do, at least to make them realize it"

"No sweetheart, only time can do this so just leave it as it is" Mayank knew his friends, they will never like the intrusion of their friends in this matter so he decided to stay out

"Bye" Khushi said softly to Arnav as they were leaving, she was feeling light after sorting it out

"Bye and try to prepare the summary of the project" Arnav said smiling while Lavanya and Mayank were silent spectator to it

"Yes I will, Bye" She nodded and before Arnav could speak Lavanya spoke,

"Bye Arnav, Bye Mayank" because it was almost 10 minutes now they were bidding bye but none wants to let go, so Lavanya taking Khushi's hand leave from there

Khushi turned back and spoke a muted 'bye' once again which Arnav replied back smilingly

"Arnav" Mayank called him

"Hmm" He turned his face when Khushi and Lavanya went out of the sight

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course" He said coming in the lounge, sitting on the sofa he stared in front at the couch where Khushi was just few minutes ago,

"Do you … do you lo … like her?" Mayank asked apprehensively changing the love to likeness

For a moment Arnav was silent, he could never think that his friend can know about it so easily

"No" Sighing, he denied him

"No? you don't like her?" Mayank mockingly asked

"Yes, I said I don't like her" He paused, "I love her" he confessed confidently and Mayank was staring him with wide mouth

Knowing his friend's state, he turned to him and closed his mouth with his index finger, "You have to keep this a secret, just bury it down somewhere inside you, I don't want to hear it from anyone" Arnav smilingly told him

"Okey, but Lav ….." Mayank just shook his head

"No, don't you dare tell her about it, because if she comes to know she will tell it to Khushi and then all my efforts of becoming her friend will go in vain" This time his voice was holding a mere threat and Mayank again just nodded

"Fine" and yes, he kept his promise and never told it to anyone not even Lavanya
