It is unbelievable & unacceptable the extent of measures CVs are taking to glorify their Gangster. Its hard to believe that this is the same show which had such awesome characterization and strong screenplay with amazing dialogues. MB-EIEJ had always focussed on strong characterization and credible story for each and every characters. Starting from main leads, RK & Madhu, to side character, every character had its own identify and they very well stick to it from day one.
Starting from unpredictable, mysterious, enigmatic RK, to simple, self righteous, principled Madhu, whacky crazy Balraj, strong, determined mother Paddy, emotional Radha, selfless Malik, sweet, loyal bittujee, jealous Trishna, vampy deepali, joker sikky.. everyone .. EVERYONE's character had been perfectly written, and portrayed by the respective actors. I have fell in love with, been angry on, laughed at, cried with, frustrated at ... felt various emotions with each and every character.
Then one fine day, we saw another character being added on this wonderful clan - Sultan. To be honest, I was looking forward to see how this character will be played in the story. And then the clunk started. I could understand the ruthlessness of a gangster and plotting him to use his son as a bait to catch his enemies. He is a gangster and a gangster will use anything and everything to succeed and kill his enemies. But, then the clunk started. We see that he is getting lectured by a girl on parenting and is being influenced by that. And step by step.. episode by episode, the weird plot developed.
It was hard for me to accept that this golden hearted gangster who can kill people in cold blood without a single thought (and even expects that any other common girl can also do the same) is simultaneously soo soft at heart that he can be influenced by just one lecture by a girl to change his parenting style, and even fall in love with the same girl in just one day.. with one look. When audience had difficulty in accepting this, CVs actually thought of a wonderful way to do the same.
What do you do when the audience loves your show, is hooked on to the show, loves each and every character of the show - be it good, bad, or RK (because RK comes in neither of these categories😆) To make their new character be accepted by audience, CVs resorted to a new plan - LETS BUTCHER THE CHARACTERS OF THE SHOW!
First and foremost to fall in this plan was our RK. Day by day, he was shown as obsessive husband while the gangster was the one giving lectures to superstar to how to treat his wife. Everyone from Madhu to Padmini were appreciating that how nice and golden hearted this Gangster is. I could actually see the halo behind the gangster! 👎🏼
Then, came Madhu's turn. She was the one taking revenge but who was the one supporting her and giving advice to her - our golden hearted gangster. What about her mother or her sister? Well.. her mother was either busy going to Temple and her sister.. well.. out of a sudden she got a role - in the same film where Malik & Roma are there. So,basically. no phone, no sms, no contact, nothing!
Once Madhu changed her plan for revenge, it was Padmini's character to be butchered. No! she cannot talk with her daughter, let alone convince her. So, what she does is go to the gangster and beg him to kidnap madhu. 👏 And what is our golden hearted gangster's response. NO!! HE cannot kidnap her. After all he is very good! He will just try to talk with her and tell her not to take revenge. Ehh, that is another thing, that when actually he could finally talk to her (yeah, on her wedding day, in her husband's room, when she is alone dressed as bride), he tried to remind her that why she is not taking revenge. (okay.. that is off the topic)
After all this failed, who is the next character to be butchered?? YES! It is late departed soul - Mr Mohan Kundra. Poor guy. He was not even in the show, so its easy to butcher him. And on top of that, the soul of RK - his name is also being taken from him. As sultan will be given the same initials as RK. 😡😡
Pehle toh RK ki biwi ko kheenchna chaha.. ab woh nahi ho paay ... toh naam hi le liya. 🤢🤢🤢
Once MK will be butchered, I m sure CVs have loads of other characters to butcher. There will be Radha - who maybe forced Mohan Kundra to leave Meera & sultan. There may be bittujee, who's father was the one who kidnapped sultan and left him on streets, so on and so forth. List is endless!!!
All the best CVs in your mission to glorify your gangster. Only thing its serving the purpose is that people have started from not accepting the character, to disliking it to ultimately hate the character.
