The episode starts with Gauri stroming inside Alaka's room and accusing her of trying to be good and motherly to gauri so that at the end, Alaka might be able to ensnare Shan. Alaka is speechless and sits quietly. Gauri further tells her that all the dresses that Alaka had given her and all the customs and stuff that she had tried to impart to Gauri, were in fact incorrect methods adopted by Alaka to reach Shan. Gauri throws down all the gifts that Alaka had given her and proceeds to tell her that whatever happens, she will not allow Alaka to marry Shan, and thus foil the plan of Alaka and Meera to take advantage of Shan. Alaka sits dumbfounded when Abhi enters the room and scolds Gauri for speaking all rubbish. He then drags Gauri away from Alaka's room and takes her to her room.
Meera encounters them on the stairs but before she can ask something, Abhi drags Gauri away. Meera goes to Alaka's room and after hearing everything, is extremely angry. She decides to go to Gauri and ask her a few questions. But Alaka stops her saying that since Meera is a devotee of Lord Krishna, she should learn to control her anger just like Lord Krishna who had lost his anger only once during the entire phase of Mahabharata, otherwise he had always maintained a pleasant disposition. Meera however asks her that Lord Krishna had also said that it's a crime to withstand injustice. Alaka tells her that it really doesn't matter because although Krishna married Subhadra, Radha was always his beloved. So was the case with Radha. Their love for each other remained the same no matter what.
Meera is surprised to hear her Mother speak like this. She realizes that ALaka was using Radha-Krishna as an allegory to describe her own feelings for Shan and vice versa. Alaka realizes this after a while and tries to go away. Meera stops her and tells her that this is what she feels about Shan uncle. After Alaka goes away, Meera decides that now she will have to something to get the two lovers united.
The next morning everyone has sat down for breakfast. Meera is sitting next to Shan when gauri comes along and very rudely asks Meera to vacate the seat and sit somewhere else. Shan asks Gauri to sit in the other vacant chair. But she tells that she wants to sit beside her Father. Meera gets up from her seat when Abhi offers Meera his chair and he goes and sits in the other chair. Ammaji tries to lighten the mood by asking Abhi whether Gauri was this angry in London too? Abhi jokes that Gauri is always so angry that she could easily win the Miss Angry Young Woman Award if there was anything of that sort.
Alaka comes from the kitchen and offers Gauri some halwa which she had wanted to eat the day before. Gauri refuses and everyone notices her rude behaviour. Meera asks Alaka to give her some halwa and also prods Shan to take some. To lighten the tense mood, Rajshekhar tells everybody about one of Ira's cooking expedition, which had ended disastrously. Shan starts coughing and Alaka comes forward to offer some water. Ira asks her to get some water from the kitchen since the jug on the table was empty. After Alaka leaves, Ira pours water in a glass and hands it over to Shan.
Meera is sitting all alone in the hall when Shan comes by. Meera asks him why he did not ay anything during breakfast in support of Alaka, to which Shan replies that there's a correct time for everything and that if they force the issue, Alaka might not have overcome her fear. So they definitely need to give her some time.
After Shan leaves, Meera thinks that it will be difficult to reunite the two. She goes and prays to Lord Krishna about showing her the path, when Shlok asks her as to what she is planning. When Meera tells her, Shlok is surprised and says that Alaka will only agree if Ammaji says 'yes' and that's the most difficult job, since Ammaji wil never say 'yes'. Meera agrees but then remembers that when she had brought Shan Uncle home, Maaji had promised her to grant her wish for anything she asked for. She will now ask for the happiness of Shan and Alaka. Meera is very happy and rushes towards Shan's room. On the way, she tubles across Rajshekhar and Suli, she tells both of them that she is very happy today and that she will inform everybody about the reason for her happiness later.
She meets ABhi and Gauri in the staircase. Meera tells Gauri that she has found the way by which Alaka and Shan can be married and that she is going to Shan to talk about it. When she reaches his room, Meera finds that Shan is not there, only a note left by him for Ammaji, stating that since the peace of the House has been destroyed due to his arrival, he deems it to be fit to leave the house. meera is shocked and starts crying. Gauri coems inside the room and taunts Meera, saying that Meera was a selfish person who was not thinking at all about the other members. Meera shuts her up and tells Gauri that she is the most selfish person in the world cos she cant think anything else except for her own state and welfare. Meera further says that if thinking about the welfare of one's parents is a mrign of being selfish, then she is very happy to be selfish. Abhi comes in and scolds Gauri, he tells her to go and think about what Meera had told.
Shan is waiting in the bus stop thinking about how his trip to benaras to immerse the ash of his deceased wife had unfolded the past chapters of his life, which was hidden inside him all this while. And that he needed to go away from Benaras so that no further ruckus is created.
